I thought I would let everyone know that I brought my bag back into the same boutique today after work and they sent it off to get repaired. The SA I spoke with was very nice and felt horrible about what had happened the 1st time. Since I don't live in the states I told her this experience was a bit of a hassle, b/c I had to cross the border and pay toll etc etc. She said that she would speak to her manager and see if maybe they could reinburse me my 20.00 shipping fees for all my hassels. Even if they can't it's fine this SA was very kind and apologetic.. thats enough for me.

I thought I would post the ending to this story.. I recieved a letter from Coach yesterday letting me know that they could not repair my bag but will be sending me a new bag!! YAY. I was worried since the bag was a gift, but it worked out just perfect!!

the policy is as followed, and if any SAs challenge it i would use the word 'manager' or 'customer service number' to snap them back into the 'nice' mode

for anyone who is interested the policy of Coach's purses is that there is a lifetime warranty for the bag, for the life of the bag, which is definitely more then a year!

anytime you want to send in a bag for repair, you may, there is a twenty dollar fee and it takes about 4-6 weeks and would be mailed back to anywhere in US you want (or canada if you're from canada) as long as its' not a PO box.

if you want the bag back no matter what, you can request that. should they not be able to repair, they would offer a credit or percentage off (usually full price of the price paid plus appropriate tax or 40% off one item). if there is a new version of the bag, and your bag cannot be repaired and you request to keep it anyways (if there is a new one they'd send you a new one of it, that's what happened to my manager and to know the possiblity you'd have to ask the SA to see if there is any more of that style left in JAX)

coach does not clean products for you (namely suede, that's the number one asked) but we can moisturize and clean in store, the leather that is cleanable/moisturizable, or now the signature fabric but please don't abuse this! it's ten dollars if you use it often.
 
Thanks for all that info Ms-whitney! It's good to know! Can SA clean suede in store? I looked on Coach.com for a suede care kit but didn't see one. I figured if I called the 800 number they'd have it. So far my bag is OK. I just worry about the corners!
 
SAs can if the suede kit is there.

If you need one let me search the back and I'll send one out to you if I find one, otherwise i'd have to wait for my manager to order them.

:) i also sent a new catalog with your package, I figured that would arrive faster? and you get to take a whiff of the new perfume
 
OH, thanks ms-whitney! You are the best!! I requested the catalog on Coach.com and when it arrived I was sooo excited! Turned out it was the last catalog, not the new one!! LOL! I can hardly wait to smell the new perfume! A purse size would be so nice to have!

Coach will ship to Canada???? See I'm so happy Im part of this forum. They told me they couldn't ship to Canada. Im going to call COACH tmw and see if they will ship it to my house. That would save me the hassel of going back across the border! THANKS!!!!
