discount at Cartier

i recently bought from Cartier (two weeks ago) and they said they dont give discounts :/

I absolutely promise you you can negotiate as much as 35% at Cartier my exboyfreind was super proud of his ability to do this

He negotiated on my white gold love bracelet

He also negotiated on my white gold and diamond tank francoise

I was told by several Cartier SA's that they don't even receive a discount on the love collection, when they purchase they purchase at full retail. I spoke with SA's at the King of Prussia store and the Boca Raton store.
They do receive discounts on watches and other items though so I wouldn't doubt you can get a little discount on other items. I believe the employee discount is 30%.

Ok he old me this is how he did it (and since he had done it there with watches he knew what to do)

He had them pull out the GOLD
The WHITE GOLD (the one I wanted)

And The GOLD W Diamond 4 studs


Then he went back and forth with them before finally saying that he thought the diamond too expensive but that he wanted the white gold but it was still too expensive so he would take the gold but that is such a shame bc she really would love the white gold blah blah then asked if they could work on the price for him - and he basically got 20% off

Also he is a business man and the kind of guy who knows exactly how to negotiate.

I doubt they make deals like that if you go in WITH your man.

IMHO Cartier does NOT give any of their customers any discount! Esp in the retail store called "Cartier"! If they did Cartier would lose out on business and prices would go sky high.

I am a novice at luxury watches and am really looking to buy the small Cartier Ballon Bleu. I went to the boutique and to Tourneau (AD) in Houston and asked for a discount but was politely told that no discounts were offered. They are no longer selling Cartier's at Neiman so that option is out too.

Has anyone ever bought from online retailers like prestigetime.com or authenticwatches.com?

This is quite old but in case you have not bought your watch yet, you most definitely can get a discount on a watch but not at a cartier boutique but def at an AD. The jewelry is a different story and almost unheard of
