Disappointed with Tiffany service..They ruined my gorgeous ring...

Why on earth would they even touch the prongs if they're just resizing the shank?? Did they switch rings on you?

Return the ring, get a brand new one and take it to an private jeweler who will take the time to size it right. Places like Tiffany's or Fortunoff's are churning adjustments around the clock, they rush through their work. I once requested engraving and I got back hand engraving but it was sub par, the letters were not straight. i.e. unprofessional looking.

That's my question too. There was absolutely no need for them to touch the prongs. I totally agree with this message. Return the ring. Go to a private jeweler to get it sized down.
Good luck.

I'm not surprised. I had a Peretti diamond and wanted the gold chain made an inch longer and when I got it home and put it on... the clasp fell off. It wasn't put back together properly. I could have lost it in the street! I was lucky it fell off at home.

I went back to the store (how annoying to have to go back the next day) and complained to the SA and she just shrugged and said they will fix it. It shouldn't have happened in the first place and I expected the SA to be as horrified as I was. I told her that, but she didn't care...

OP, I hope they give you a brand new ring, the right size, or a brand new ring you can get redone at a local jeweler (that's all Tiffany does in many instances anyway- contract their work), or your money back.

I'm getting sick of even reading these kinds of stories about Tiffany & Co. It's not what I pay a mark up for.

Sorry, Tiffany & Co. but it's about to be over before it began. Get your act together.

I cannot thank you enough for your support and for sharing your poor customer service stories.. Keep it rolling.. Poor customer service is always disappointing especially when you're dealing with a name like Tiffany's... You expect tip top service when you're paying 10 times what the item is actually worth..

Just to keep you updated as promised, I picked up my ring yesterday.. It looked brand new to me.. I don't know if they fixed my damaged one or provided me with a new one.. They didn't say anything.. again.. no apologies... but I accepted the ring since it was just the way I got it...

That's a pretty good outcome - still not good service but you have a ring back and in good condition and the last thing you want is an ongoing saga.

i'm so happy it worked out!

their CS has gone down tremendously. hit a tiffany's on a saturday and you'll see what i mean - it's like wal-mart in there, with gobs of people, uniformed SAs and just a generic shopping experience in general. nothing luxurious about it at all.

Loool.. that's so funny 'cause I was just thinking of that yesterday.. I was at Yorkdale mall and passed by Tiffany there and that's exactly what I told my husband when I saw how many people there were... I told him it looked like a garage sale or a wal-mart... no a jewlery store... I guess it's becomming really popular..

The service with Tiffanys years ago was fantastic, now, I walk in and then walk right out, it is like a market in there, a total turnoff. I hope it sorted out for you.
