I had ordered this last summer and while the colour was nice (cool leaning as confirmed by @averagejoe ), I was underwhelmed by the leather. It didn’t feel like a beautiful natural grain that I had hoped for but rather like an artificial, stamped grain (Chanel caviar came to mind). A bit plasticky which is why I returned it in the end.
I know what you mean.:) I think they only have the Bobby in natural grain. This is indeed more like Chanel Caviar, yes. I have the black one in this leather and it has a tiny bit of a shine to it. But I am very on the fence about this color in this leather….don’t like the «plastic» feel you mention, but so affraid of lambskin in such a light color. What a girl to do? :) Did you end up buying one in another leather?

I do recommend this plasticky leather. It is much more resilient than lambskin, and your bag will keep its structure better. No need to worry about the handles and the flap opening getting scratched easily by your nails.

The black one will become shinier over time, especially around the handles and opening where it is handled more often.

:) I was hoping for more shine yes<3. I’m loving my black grained, but affraid the sand-color will not look as good. Do you think this one will develope some sort of shine over time as well?

I get you and I also agree with @averagejoe in terms of handling, especially given the lightness of the bag. To me it just seemed flat and lackluster, but I wasn’t looking for this particular colour but a grained leather, which obviously influenced my decision. I haven’t purchased an alternative ever since, but would absolutely consider it if I were you, given you have experience with the leather type. I am attaching a picture of the bag I took, but please mind it was taken in indirect light. I prefer cool tones which are quite apparent in the photo.

:) Thank you so much for posting this picture. I quite like the leather, but so unsure about the color. I also much prefer cool tones. Wish they would come out with more colors. A blue, green or gray I would bite the bullet in a heart beat. Thank’s again for sharing<3

Has anybody seen this in person? They don’t have it in stock in my local store. Wondering if it’s more warm beige than cool toned sand. I usually like more cool undertones, but very tempted because I like the grained leather so much

I bought this bag a few weeks ago! I LOVE it. I think the color looks more beautiful in person than online. I posted this in a different thread but here are some pics, one in the store and one in natural light. I think it’s a great neutral which can go with both blacks and browns. Also I like how it has a more casual vibe since I’m a casual dresser.

 Thank you so much for sharing. It’s a beauty for sure:smile: About the leather, does it have a «dry» feeling? I have this bag in the black color and I was a bit surprised about the dry feeling at first, (especially the fold over flap) I do love it because it has a faint shine to the grain so to speak. Does your bag have the same shine to it? :)

Beautiful bag and I love what you did with your mizah! I could never ever do that! Hahaha.

It does have a bit of a “dry” touch but when you look closer there’s a slight sheen. I think it’s more noticeable in the black which is gorgeous! I picked the grained leather over the lambskin since it rains a ton where I live and also I liked the casual, slightly edgier vibe of the grained leather.

Yes, me too, a lot of rain lol :) In the photos you shared, which one would you say is most true to color in real life? I am not much of a warm beige/nude color person, but the cooler tones I like, and I am on the hunt for a light colored Dior bag. Too scared of lambskin :) <3
