Alrighty, now post increase- what else are you thinking of buying from Dior?

Btw saw a LV saddle looking bag which I thought was weird lol. The only saddle thar looks right is the Dior, IMHO❤

The next bag on my dior wishlist is the mini lady dior in the pearly pink lotus color I’m really hoping I’ll be able to make a trip out to Paris later this year and get it then.
I really like the 30 montaigne in burgundy oblique but I’m not sure of its longevity and if I want to pay full price for that bag... I might search for a preloved diorama instead.
But I also want a vintage chanel classic flap so that will probably be my next priority alongside the mini lady dior. What’s on your wishlist?

Ooo I love that color!! I will say - since even if we're on bans we all still have wishlists ;) so I think I'm eyeing a vintage Chanel next. I don't have any Chanels in my collection yet but I'm turned off from buying new by the insane price increases. I'm trying to do my research now on vintage sellers so when a unique and great bag shows up I can be ready to pull the trigger later this year. I think I'm at Dior purse peace for now, I love having these 2 in my collection (albeit impatiently waiting for my saddle to show up again  )

btw @a-s do you use your saddle with a strap, or strapless? Curious on how you're getting on with your cloud blue beauty!

I'm on ban island now for quite some time! I bought a Fendi baguette (albeit secondhand, so I got a good deal), a Dior Bobby and a Dior Saddle all within 3 months of each other  I'm feeling shame ha! Trying to make myself wait until at least the fall to even go into stores to browse again ... we'll see how long that lasts
Completely get it!! Trying to forget about the blue Saddle! I have been purchasing other bags and jewelry and feeling guilty! Covid has made me worse with my spending:sad:

Love this color and bag!! Super pretty! My never ending wishlist! I wouldn't mind the 30 Montaigne and a Chanel 19. Hermes Picotin is on the top of my list right now. I am trying to broaden out my brands. No more LV and Gucci and other than the 19- no desire for any more Chanel.

I need to move to ban island! The 30 Montaigne in the light blue or blush is gorg. Chanel's price increases have gotten ridiculous :hrmm:

@a-s share your feelings on the strap. I purchased one and I am going to try it out this weekend hopefully. I think though I should've gone with the thinner strap....I was having a tough time deciding on whether I should get one. @ATLbagaddict is there any particular you would choose? The blue oblique is so pretty!

I feel you on the increased spending during covid - my fiancé looks at me like I have two heads, he’s like where are you going to go with all these bags *facepalm* I go on lots of stylish walks with my dog

tbh none of the current available straps have really “sung” to me; there was a light blue and black one that I liked and was contemplating but it sold out during my thinking. I think I want to see how it goes using the Saddle sans strap, and then maybe add one later. A $100 increase in price was worth waiting until I find a combo I really liked / knew I was set on it, so I’m fine with that!

Totally agree re: boutique price increases. I’ve been mostly buying new but I definitely want to shop the preloved market more to find unique pieces and be more sustainable.
I didn’t buy a strap for my saddle, personally I think the bag looks best worn on the shoulder like the original. And in general I rarely wear cross bodies and prefer short shoulder bags or top handles.

Yes! Not sure where I am going either  We just had outdoor dining open back up and the only other place I am dressing up and taking my bags is to the mall:happydance:however, I am not the only one doing this. Whenever I go, I see tons of beautiful bags being carried. When I went to the Dior Boutique, I saw lots of nice bags again being carried-so good to see that.

I still saw A LOT of people carrying Chanel shopping bags last weekend. I think people are constantly trying to dodge the price increases. My SA there was saying the boutique is always packed. Right before the increase she was also saying inventory was low.

I was and am on the fence with the strap. I bought it because I like the crossbody convenience and to be able to carry it that way or just on the shoulder. Also, because I didn't want to drive all the way back regretting not purchasing it later:no:

I like the look of saddle with strap! Adding some subtle complexity to the look :)

Never shopped at the preloved market before.. any positive shopping experience with sites that carry good quality stuff? It's just so hard to pull the trigger if I don't know for sure if it's properly authenticated and maintained in good condition.

Yes, I agree  I still have my purchases boxed up LOL. Too pretty to open!

I've only bought one preloved bag so far, off Fashionphile, so I'm hardly an aficionado, but I really took a gamble as it was a white lambskin bag ha - when it arrived I was shocked at how good the condition was! Barely one teeny tiny mark that you would need to be wayyy up close to see - and for reference this bag was marked as "excellent" condition, but not new. So I think someone wore it once or twice and decided to sell. I was nervous, but I liked Fashionphile because they have a 30 day return window! I'm still way too nervous to buy something secondhand online that's still so expensive but not be able to return, that's why I've never seriously considered anything off theRealReal. I once bought a Valentino off of Tradesy that was discounted (but new with tags) that I wasn't able to return, and the color was wayyyy off from what I was expecting to get. Thankfully I still love it, and have used it a bunch, but knowing how different things can be from their pictures makes me very wary of non-returnable items.
