Dionysus Boots: Yes or No?

They are a stunning pair of boots. I vote yes because it's definitely a statement piece that be worn throughout the fall and winter and that's a very comfortable heel height so your feet won't hurt like crazy after a couple of hours. I totally agree they will look gorgeous with a pair of floaty culottes and dark denim pencil skirt.

My only objection is that there are many similar boots in that shade of gold and style for about $300 at most. Who would know they are Gucci or that you paid that much for them? Plus, this is not an everyday type of boots.

But if personal satisfaction is the only criteria then go for it.

I am all for statement pieces, but personally I find that shade of gold to be a bit brassy for me. IRL it might look different, but voting on the pic I would pass. I also think that these would be hard to wear in the daytime. With that said, I am sure a somebody with killer fashion sense would be able to rock this look and make me change my vote. lol!

As for the price, it is in line with Chanel and LV, perhaps less than many of their boots so if you love it who cares about cost!

They're not in yet. Not sure the colours under photographic bright lights will be the same but even if, I like the 'solid gold' colour. I suppose it's more like a pop-colour rather than a metallic neutral.

I have Chanel and H shoes and boots - they are all very pricey. So far I've been happy. Doesn't mean I don't still buy Nikes, Acne and Doc Martens but occasionally I think forever footwear purchases are worth it.

I have such nice culottes, divided skirts and stunning leather gauchos, that's exactly what I was thinking. Apart from wedges I don't think other footwear I have works. Now I'm hoping I didn't chuck my jeans-turned-into-skirt and vintage denim culottes, I remember thinking they were dated, now I don't care

Thanks for asking. I bought them and wore them NYE with a kilt. They're just lovely and ever so comfortable (but actually sized up 0.5) I'll have to post pics (once I get the chance) XXX

I love them! They are a classic , and the crystal buckle detail is gorgeous....very tasteful. I love gold and find it such a versatile " neutral". These are statement- making boots, but I definitely think they are footwear you'll reach for more than you think. Classic style, classic color , easily transitions from day to night... For all of those reasons, they are worth the investment, I think. I'd vote to get them!

I love gold, so yes.
I don't like tall boots, so no.
But my opinion and everyone else's doesn't matter at all. Two things matter:
A. Can you afford it?
B. Does it make your heart sing?
