Thank you so much! I am just loving them. Great little work horses. Just grab and go. I asked the SA at the store and she told me "Do not use the Coach Leather Cleaner or Moisturizer on the ostrich leather. It will damage it. Do not wet it - just wipe it off with a dry cloth and to watch using lotions or perfumes around it. It will change its color and texture. I can use the Coach products on the mineral glove tanned leather parts - just to be careful and do let any of these products get on the ostrich leather parts." Now I just have to remember ��. OK y'all...so I read through this whole thread.
I just got my red Mickey Dinky. LOVE LOVE LOVE
But it too was a store ship - but no problems at all. That being said, I see some of y'all have mentioned yours arriving with scratches, etc. Am figuring if they are arriving that way, with actual use out in the real world...yikes!
I am pretty sure this is a known issue with glove tanned leather but I haven't had any of the new stuff until now. Are y'all finding that with use, you are seeing surface scratches?
What are y'all using to deal with these on this particular leather? I hear a lot about Apple Care and Cadillac and of course Coach products. Not sure the proper way to care for this line, since I love my Mickey!!!!

Welcome to the Dinky club! I have two and haven't any issues with extra scratches occurring from use. Now granted I keep them in their dustbags and am careful when I use them and don't toss them around. I tend to be a bit more careful with this type of leather because it is prone to scratches, but I'm not gonna go nuts over it either lol. I use Coach conditioner (the white plastic bottle version) & Apple Guard stain & rain protectant.

So I joined this club with a bang - the mineral and two mickeys. I have some questions. What color is the small rivets dinky? Someone has one on the bay and I can't tell.
