rather expensive gift for a client to give you..

There is no writing/imprint on the outter leaf. I beleive there was another thread about this.

Hey, i just checked my lv perfo speedy. and there is no imprint on the leaf, outer or underneath.
My studs are engraved inside. and it looks exactly the same as the outer studs. no diamond shape screws inprint inside.
Datecode is hard to see too.

Best way is to take it to LV store and see if its real.

Guess what!!! I'll tell you first I took it into the store, I carried my Chloe bag instead of my real LV. Then I took it out of the bag and it took two clerks and then the manager to tell me.............it's fake!!!!!Apparently, from what was said, the first, very first perforated, maybe about 50-100 total in the world did have the imprint on the outside leaf, no 30 under it, that was a "security change" and those few bags were not "purchased" but "offered" I don't know what that means. But then they made every one since with no outer imprint and no 30, only the manager had that tidbit of info. The studs on the inside should be engraved which out of every single last thing they checked is what was wrong. They said the only thing wrong with the entire bag were those little rivets that should have been engraved. I was in there for almost an hour! Whoever made the bag did a damn good job but as they said, there is always a little tiny something somewhere that gives it away. After my complete and total embarrassment, now I am left wondering, do I tell the person who gave it to me? I honestly think that she may think it's the real deal. I know she isn't the type of person who would intentionally give a bad gift. I feel like, if I tell her, I may embarrass her terribly but if I don't and she's giving other people the same thing without knowing, she's being ripped off....what should I do? I was thinking that maybe a little white lie, I'd say something happened to the bag and I took it to see if they would be able to have it repaired and then they informed me that it wasn't real....what do ya think?

If its a gift, i won't say a thing.... I'll let it go. I would feel extremely embarrased if someone tell me that my gift is fake (without knowing its real of course). It would be awkward for her to see you again next time. and its totally not worth just for this fake bag gift.

I bought mine a few hours ago!!It doesn´t have any imprint on the top of the outer leaf, I cant see my date code, (but I don´t care I´m so happy!!) here are my pics!

I wouldn't say anything; you'll only embarass her.
Maybe her intentions were to fool you (thinking you wouldn't know any better), but in the end, she is your client whom I'm assuming you want to keep.
I'd say nothing and stick it in the back of my closet, or give it to Goodwill.

I guess you guys are right, maybe not such a good idea to say anything. I kind of used it as a mini diaper bag anyhow, I've always loved my Alma (which I bought so I know it's real) but I can give the Alma a much needed rest cause while I was in the store....I fell in love and had to take Priscilla home with me (shhhh, can't be too excited cause my better half let me (did I just say LET ME? hmmm) buy it because I was so bummed about the fake perf). She is stunning in Multi White! Yay Mommy Dearest (Joan Crawford reference)! Thanks for all of your advice!!!

Congrats on your Priscilla! I'm glad you found out the truth from the LV manager. I bought the green Perforated Speedy from the LV store the week it came out and love it a lot....the fakes I've seen online don't come close to the quality and color and size of the holes of the real deal.

What am I doing wrong? I tried taking pictures but they all come out blurry. I try from close, far, WTF? How do you all get such good pics? I tried my crappy Kodak camera and hubby's good one...what am I doing wrong? I wanna show off my new girl!

I'm so sorry to hear about your perforated Speedy! At least now you know! And to answer your question, I would just let it be and not mention anything to the client. I would want to avoid that sticky situation... Oh and congrats on your new Priscilla!
