Did Macy's send me the wrong bag?

That is def. whiskey. Call and get it worked out - I'm sure if you work your way to the right person you will get the bag you asked for. Sorry. If it helps any my Macy's at Pembroke Lakes Mall, Pembroke Pines has the brown - and online has the brown. They have no reason to make this difficult for you - they have the right bag!
 
I agree that it's Whiskey. I'm sorry you got the wrong bag! (Though I have whiskey Ali and I love her.) Have you thought about calling a local Coach store and asking them if you could exchange it with them? After all, it is their product and someone on the boards said they were able to get Coach to honor the Macy's F&F prices. It would be a heck of a lot easier than dealing with Macy's.
 
I ordered brown from Coach.com., it's not available on website. I would call Coach 800 number see if they can exchange it and/or if it's an exclusive to Macy's see if they can get one to a Macy's near you. Forget that it came from another state you should be able to exchange it at any Macy's. When dealing with Macy's I would get a manager.

It can be worked out, it's just frustrating.

Thanks! I will let you all know what I find out...IF I can get Macy's to actually answer the phone. This reminds me why I hate department stores. :cursing:
 
Okay...latest info: I finally got through to handbags, and then the girl transfered me to gift wrap. They put me in touch with Althea, the manager, who is now trying to locate the bag in brown in another store. I told her about the bag at Pembroke Pines, but I don't know what state that is in. She is supposed to call me back, but she says if she can't find it I can order it online and then she will credit back 20% plus the cost of shipping to make sure I get the bag. So far so good. Hopefully she will call back tonight.
 
DAY TWO of ongoing Macy's saga. I spent an hour trying to get through to a human at the Galleria Macy's, and was about to pull my hair out when finally I got someone in juniors and asked to be put through to a manager. They eventually found the lady I spoke with last night, and she told me she had written my number down wrong which is why they never called back. UGH! :cursing:

So, the verdict is that I have to order the brown from the website and she is issuing a pick up tag from UPS. Next week UPS will pick up the current bag, and it should arrive back in Dallas about five days later. She will refund that bag and my shipping, then when the NEW bag comes in, I am supposed to fax the info to her and she will give me the discount plus another 10% off for all the trouble.

That Macy's at the Galleria is HUGE HUGE and the purse department is pretty big also (juniors is right across from it, I wonder if that's why you ended up there)

I've never been to the Macy's at the Galleria. Been to the Coach store there many times, but never Macy's. I'll have to go take a look next time I'm there.

I'm sorry you're having to go through all of this just to get the right order. It's nice that they're going to be giving you a further discount though.
