Diamonds vs. colored gems: which do you prefer?

In recent months, I've acquired quite a lot of ruby and sapphire pieces, and now, I find myself becoming a huge fan of colored gems! In fact, I think I prefer them to diamonds alone. To me, they seem so regal and elegant and stately.

So what about you? Which do you prefer? Diamonds or colored gems such as rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and so on?

Of all gems my favourites would be either diamonds or sapphires. I love the look of other coloured gems but just not on me.

I'm waiting on a new Sapphire pendant actually... super excited.

Absolutely love all types and colours of gems!!
One thing I do find is that it is difficult to 'mix and match' the colours.
Diamonds and pearls are great because they go with everything.

I love both diamonds and colored gems like ruby and sapphires. Im not really a matchy matchy kind of person. Even if my clothes wont match my ring I dont mind at all. If I feel like wearing this particular ring I will. One of my friend even suggested to me to remove my bracelet because it doesnt match my blouse and I told her that I didnt care if it matches lol...

I don't have many emeralds, and now that I'm ruby obsessed, I'm afraid of looking like a Christmas tree if I get emeralds, too!

Diamonds are a preference. But I love quality untreated sapphires too

Colored gems. But I prefer plain metals to diamonds. Plain metals are easiest to match, and colored gems make a statement. Diamonds are in between, so I don't really know what to do with them. Also I see them so much that I get tired of them. I know I'm weird that way.

I do like some of the diamond pave patterns though. The original, creative ones.

I love light. I love seeing how it flows and bounces through a stone, the colors it picks up, and how it attracts the eyes. I am fascinated by the way that different stones pick up the light and throw it around.
In other words, I adore colored stones and diamonds, but am incredibly picky about both.
