Aha, Ok, thanks, Ame! For some reason that option wasn't showing before, but showed up after I clicked on "advanced options". Thanks again! You cannot copy and paste, you have to upload directly through the post. When you are posting a reply, there's a thing you have to click called MANAGE ATTACHMENTS. That's where you can upload.
Wow, holy hell. I feel compelled to ask what you were doing while wearing that ring!!! That is QUITE misshapen. I feel it's possible that there could have been a weak spot in the casting but a lot of that bend is from wear patterns.
Feel so sorry for you... And for the ring too.
According to your picture, I do think that the ring was too large for your finger though...
Wow, that is badly bent ! Glad baby is ok , that's most important.
Can I ask, is the last picture of your new ring ? It looks far to big on you. If you can't close your fingers without the rings going diagonally, that's a sign that they are too big, which could potentially mean bending in the future.
Oh no! I am so glad the baby is ok, and that YOU are ok. And yes, rings are easily replaceable, a baby is less so, as are you. A fall like that and catching your weight CAN do that kinda damage sadly, and however your hand was (was your hand ok?) might have impacted that as well. Platinum is soft and malleable, and it warps when it's really put into pressure like that, so actually it is probably good that it was platinum because gold might have broken and cut you as it's more brittle. Wow. I am glad that you are ok, AND that you were able to get a replacement. I don't think the band width had anything to do with it, I think the 3mm might have done the same, if that matters to you in why you chose the wider band. I think it was just the weight being distributed into your hand and the awkwardness. I don't suspect you're a particularly heavy individual, but a human body landing on a ring is a lot for a ring to take!lol, I know, I couldn't believe how misshapen it was either. I wasn't doing anything crazy as I am 4.5 months preggers. I simply slipped on my kitchen floor, fell on my rear. I think I caught some of the weight on the side of my palm, and somehow that was enough to bend it. It was strange, I don't even think I hit the ring directly on the floor, I think it was just from my hand catching my weight. My balance is a little off so I probably fell a little more awkwardly than I normally would. At the time, I was much more concerned about whether the baby felt it than anything else. I didn't even notice the damage until 3 days later. Very bizarre. The manager at the store said she had never seen one so misshapen.

Oh my that's really misshapen! I wonder if something was wrong with it from manufacturing. And how upsetting to fall while pg! I'm glad it's all worked out in the end, and your new ring is gorgeous!!

That's not entirely true. Her knuckles are slightly larger than her finger size, and sometimes there's no way around that diagonal thing. And your fingers also go up and down several times through a day. Mine do that, and even when they're at their fattest sometimes the rings go diagonal.
Saw the pics! Wow the old ones really bent and the poor diamonds falling out. So glad you got a new one. How did it happen? I hope your new one will give u no problem.![]()
