Diamond tennis bracelets

feeling self-conscious - particularly with the current cost of living crisis.
This sums it up for me. Even with the lab grown diamonds being as inexpensive as they are, I feel bad wearing too many diamonds. I look at the bracelets between 5 and 10 ctw and think those look nice, but I can't imagine actually wearing them, so I look at the 3ctw ones and then I think "that's too small."

Hello all! I've been a member here for years but I mostly just read for fun. I've enjoyed scrolling through all your pretty bracelets! I would love to get your honest opinions on a bracelet I bought to think about and must decide whether to keep or return. It was at TJ Maxx, reduced from 4600 to 3240.

Specs are – according to the card -
CWT: 4.9-5.1
Length: 7 1/8”
Number of stones: 41
Color: H-I
Clarity: I(1)
Width of stones: maybe 2.5 mm? It’s so hard to measure in the white gold setting.
Points: What are points? Is that like Pokemon stardust? Here’s where I get really dumb…

Here’s my dilemma – I’ve always wanted at least a 5ct tennis bracelet because when I tried to buy smaller, aka more ~reasonably priced~ ones, they just looked dinky and unsatisfying on me (I am not dainty and don’t wear much dainty jewelry). I ended up returning at least one smaller bracelet some years ago. So “a real tennis bracelet” has been on my wish list for a long time but I’m not that comfortable with large purchases, so I tend to buy more secondhand pieces under 1k. In my mind, when something costs a bomb, I want it to be “perfect” and I’m not sure anything is truly “perfect,” you know? It's almost like it’s too much pressure.

(sorry these photos look humongous!)

So I wasn’t really planning this particular purchase at this moment and it’s a lot of money. My TJ Maxx jewelry sales pal (who is a retired IT professional and owns a lot nicer jewelry than I do) and I were chatting and she remarked that this bracelet got marked down a day before, and she didn’t think it would stick around long. She doesn’t work on commission and wasn’t trying to hard-sell me. I’ve got a 30-day return window, which gives me plenty of time to dither.

My question is: do you think this is a good price for this size bracelet? Or am I merely starstruck and lured in by a “bargain”? Have you had good/bad experiences with TJ Maxx? (I've bought some really nice branded and unbranded jewelry there over the years so I'm pretty pro-Maxx - but never anything this pricey.) Is this an opportunity worth seizing or will I find other equally good and reasonably priced options later? I actually like the quality of the bracelet (feels solid and doesn’t snag on fabric) and I also like the classic look of the 4-prong setting. The drawback is I might like it to be a tiny bit longer. How hard is it to lengthen a bracelet like this? I actually like the idea of switching it to have a lobster clasp at some point.

Thanks if you waded through all that!

It’s a great price, but for me, the clarity grade is too low. If you can see inclusions, then it hinders the sparkle. You can’t really tell from the pictures if it really sparkles. In the end, it’s if you are happy with it!
I agree with this. For me, SI1 would be the bottom clarity I’d buy for a tennis bracelet.

I would return this. I think the price reduction gives the illusion that it’s a good deal. The clarity grade is extremely too low. You don’t want to go under SI1. You want a tennis to be a light show on the wrist. I would recommend going into local jewelry store to see some comparison bracelets in higher quality

Here’s mine. 5ct, F-G color, VS clarity half bezel set in rose gold.
Hi Babsiegirl! I’m obsessed with your tennis bracelet. Do you happen to know the point size for the stones? And the approximate number of stones in your bracelet? I’ve been scouring the forum trying to find more half bezel tennis bracelets, as I’m in the middle of trying to have one made and am torn between point size.
