I have these from Costco (of all places!) and they are a fantastic size! They are shared prong, which isn't my favorite, but the size & quality for the price can't be beat. For me personally they are big enough that they make a statement, but I feel comfortable wearing them as everyday earrings (and magically have not felt the need to upgrade).

Oooh! Those look great! May I ask how close to the bottom of the ear lobe these sit?

After having the Blue Nile hoops for a few days, I realize that I'd like something with bling but that don't dangle too far below my lobe - the closer to the lobe, the better.

Yes! It'd be so much easier through tPF's iPhone app. It was down for a while, and now I don't see the message about the error at the top of the non-mobile page. Is it fixed? My app is still not working!

LeeMiller - any chance we could see a modeling photo? :graucho:

Keeping the same order as my post...

1. This is the one I thought I'd like the most. It has large(r) stones, had a leverback (slightly preferably mostly because I think round hoops don't flatter me) and a small drop. However, the drop still bothered me. I think I'm looking for a diamond cuff, something that sits just below my earlobe.

2. This was was the only inside/out one that I ordered to try. I really like the blinginess. But I think the round hoops look juvenile on me, plus I think I could use something elongated to combat the roundness in my face. HA!

3. This was the smallest diamond weight of the bunch, and I like that it has the smallest drop but I am looking for something wider.

4. I had high hopes on the garland but the drop was just too big for my liking. Super sparkly though, and I played around by putting the earring across my finger like a ring. So, so sparkly and pretty. Maybe I'll get the garland ring for one of these anniversaries.

So, I think they are all going back to Blue Nile. I have hesitation with each one of them. Like I mentioned above, I think what I really want are diamond cuff earrings, or small diamond huggies. I want some blinginess with little to no drop below my lobes - something that won't get caught in something, have some width to them, with a secure closure. I prefer a few large stones over pave.

Of the ones from Blue Nile, I like #1 the most. If it had 3 stones instead of 5 in each earring, the drop would be more along the lines of what I want. I tried to find (online) small hoops with 3 large diamonds each, and I didn't find anything good. I'm not sure if what I'm looking for really exists, and I wonder if it doesn't exist for a good reason that I'm not thinking of?

I really like LeeMiller's costco pair a lot. It's double the total carat weight of Blue Nile #1, so it will be wider and maybe the drop will seem smaller because the stones are bigger? I guess it depends from where to where the size of the hoop is measured. Those look like they're round, but if there's only a small drop, then round is probably ok.

What do you ladies think?

I have Roberto coin huggies which are similar to the ones Ames posted. It's on Nordstrom website if you want to check them out. $880. Bloomies might have them too, can wait for the next F&F sale, not sure when that will be
