Wow!! It's perfection Swanky :hbeat::cloud9::heart::tup::coolio:

I just noticed a chip on the girdle of my 4 ct pear diamond. I'm shocked and so upset! I've had this stone in the same setting for about 12 years. I know it is secure etc, and do not recall hitting it with such force to cause a chip (think I would remember that!). What do I do? Can it be polished out? It's not huge, but I def can see it and I louped it (yes, I have loup at home) and can def see it then! Appreciate any advice. Scared to tell my husband until I have possible solutions!
So sorry to hear this:( Can you post a pic so we can see how bad or not (hopefully) it is?

State Farm for valuables policy. On a separate note....ironic that you responded because I remember loving your ring and have been searching for the photo of it to no avail. Lol. Since I may be in the market for a new ring.... May start over or just replace pear...not sure yet. Can you post the picture again? Please?

There are some companies that only insure jewelry. My jeweler actually recommended it for covering substantial pieces, rather than have a PAF on your regular policy. They also have special insurance for pieces you only wear now and again where the cost is cut by 3/4 (you can only take them out of the bank so many times a year and for so many days). It's full replacement insurance, so no worries and it also covers damage such as chips, losing a stone, etc. that many homeowner's policies don't cover (which I found out years ago when a baguette chipped on a new ring from Tiffany's).

I do have a "special" policy just for my larger items. I will try to get a picture. It is small but visible to me. I am def a fan of insurance for large value items. I met with one of the approved jewelers and he will begin process of sourcing a replacement stone after Jewish holidays. At that point, I can either take the replacement stone from the recommended jeweler or "cash out" for the value of his stone and source my own stone. I have no deductible and it seems I will be able to get a similar stone for the amour I have it insured for. Which is great news!
