Desperate need for advice

Thank you Lovely ladies.
I have no preference, if I was younger I would have gone with the smaller size.
I might feel the size too small when I'm older.
If it wasnt an everyday piece I would have gone with the bigger size-lots of bling for safety reasons when I travel.
I have no intention to ever take it off.
I especifically chose a butterfly for the symbolism and I knew that the Graff butterfly is the one.
@livethelake spot on I am planning to shorten the chain if I go for the large size.
I have never been so confused in my life, it shows how much we love our fur babies.
It has to be perfect.
They are both perfect in their own way.
I'm just complicating my life.

The larger size might appear more blingy now but - have you ever heard of the "shrinkage effect"? It's a syndrome most commonly associated with engagement rings. But I think it applies to your situation as well.
A new ring appears huge, over the top and in your face blingy. Because you are going from naked finger (or neck in your case). Several weeks pass and that bling is not so blingy because we are more comfortable wearing it. Over time, it appears to shrink in size, driving many women to determine an upgrade is necessary.

So my advice is to think about the size of your necklace in these terms. (Personally, I think the larger size with a shorter chain is the perfect choice. )

Totally agree..."diamond shrinkage" is alive and well. Trust me! The large with a shorter chain will be perfect

@Juda , I am so sorry for your loss. Personally, I prefer the smaller one for everyday. BUT .... I can also say, unfortunately, that I can relate to what you’re going through. We just lost our sweet dog of 14 years, and I am gutted. It’s been less than a month and I am having trouble making all kinds of decisions.

I know you want to get the pendant immediately because it will help you feel closer to your fur baby, and you want to make the *perfect* decision. But maybe you need a little time first. If it helps, there may be pros and cons to each piece, but neither one will be wrong. If you can, take a few days and then take a fresh look. One may jump out as the right way to go.

My heart goes out to you.

My heart goes out to you too.
Your message made me cry for both of us.
I Iost my baby boy 10 weeks ago and I'm still hurting: sinking heart and grieving.
I miss him terribly.
