Designer: Victoria Beckham Bags

If I had the money that she has, I wouldn't be able to help not going into Hermes, Gucci, Prada, etc, and buying some lovelies...probably quite a bit! LOL. But once you can design a bag exactly the way you would like it to be, well, it would be hard to not want to carry it, now that I think about it. Although I'm sure there are some that she designs that are not to her taste at all; as a designer you have to appeal to a market and that market is not always just yourself.

I have thought of trying to make a leather handbag myself, just for fun. I am quite good at sewing (I quilt, sometimes for profit) and I have a few sewing machines; one is industrial. Though I definetely realize that handbag construction and machine quilting are two completely different things--like clothing construction and quilting! Just because I can quilt does not mean that I can whip up clothes! Oh no no no...

I like this one alot. I need a black satchel but this is a bit out of price range. The leather looks wonderful though!

Was looking for a bit of info about these bags and found this thread, I'm pretty surprised to see all the hate directed at VB and these bags! Personally I think they're beautiful bags, simple, sleek, practical, understated and luxurious. Exactly what I want in a bag. I've also seen them in real life and the quality is stunning. Yes they are pricey but so are all designer handbags at the moment.

What I was looking to find out was whether the Liberty bag would fit over your shoulder, according to the new website it does but in pictures the handles look a bit short for this. I think I will just have to order it to find out. Love this bag, and think it is quite reasonably priced at £895.

I have seen them IRL and I have to say I was very impressed. I think they are very well made and the material is beautiful. However, the lack of after-sale care is a big deal breaker for me.

Just wondering where you heard about the after care? Is there a thread or a link somewhere?

I ordered the Liberty shopper from her new website today, should get it tomorrow.

In this very thread.

Oh I see, I thought there might be some information somewhere about someone's actual experience. I don't think I'd write the brand off without any real proof. I tried searching Google for some info but didn't find anything, negative or positive.

I'd love to hear if anyone has any personal experience with the brand.

Just got the shopper in red. Made in italy, nice and quality leather, I only dislike the inner lining, cheap canvas, not cotton.

My after service comes from local authorized seller and I dont need afer sale service atm. :D

Mine just arrived as well! I got it in black. I don't mind the lining, it's a thick linen, according to the website it is cotton. For an everyday bag I don't mind a cotton lining, easier to clean if I spill my lunch in it!! Also if it was lined in leather that would add hundreds of pounds to the price. I think it looks nice. Also the leather is great, you can tell it will be really durable.

It does fit over my shoulder but is quite snug, the handle drop measurement on the website is actually wrong by a few centimeters. I think I will still keep it though as I can get it over my shoulder with a coat on. It's also a nice size, not too big.

Im keeping it as well, the tag from my local store says 'fabic' and the sales said canvas. Well not a big deal anyways. I really like it in general, it is more stuctured than other shoppers :graucho:

Yeah I like that it is more structured as well, I was also considering the new Saint Laurent reversible shopper but it looked a bit sloppy, I wanted something I could use dressy or casual and I think this is great for both.

Ja, I cant agree more! The bag matches dressing up and down. Some might say this bag is overpriced, but come on, a mulberry Alexa made in turky or china is priced up to 1, 300 euro!
I wil surely keep my eye on this brand, since I like Victoria ever since the Spice girls.:D
