Designer SLG's - Worth it? Not Worth it?

I prefer to spend most on the things I use every day rather than stuff I only use once in a while or for special occasions. I also tend to use just one wallet (with room for everything in it) as I’m not keen on switching between them, which makes spending more rather less painful! So I spend whatever it costs and buy whichever one I really want. I usually keep it until it starts to look tired and then buy a new one. At the moment I’m using an LV wallet and after a year of constant use it’s still looking like new. So, in short, I think it’s definitely worth the cost - in my experience designer brand wallets last well and they feel like a treat every time you use them

If you think how much work (time and effort) goes into an SLG I think you'll see where the money goes. I don't have any Chanel but I have 2 Hermes and 4 Gucci wallets, not a single regret. You don't need to have 6 either, the right one can last for years.

I have a designer wallet, card holder for smaller bags, a cosmetic bag and a key holder. And that’s it. I always transfer them to new bags whenever I switch up. I think of them as an investment. I’ve now had my Louis Vuitton wallet for 8 years and don’t see myself buying a new one anytime soon.

I have designer SLGs, but not many, and I tend to use them to death (until they are falling apart). I personally find it wasteful to buy multiples when all I need is a card holder and a small wallet. I don’t have a designer key pouch (just a free Rebecca Minkoff one).

$1k is ridiculous...but it depends if you can afford it. I would never get one if it caused any financial hardship.

Gorgeous collection!!!! Quick question—how do the plastic zippers on the boy wallets hold up? I just purchased one pre-loved without even realizing it wasn’t metal. I LOVE it though and I see you have several. Are you happy with the quality of those zippers?

Thank you, yes the zippers are absolutely fine. Maybe not quite as smooth as the metal but I have had no issues. The only thing I’ve noticed is a mild piling to the fabric of the zip but that’s with both plastic and metal. All in all worth it if like me you love the boy style
