Hmmm....I'm open to a LOT of different brands now. But I probably won't carry...

Michael Kors

Louis Vuitton brown/tan monograms (I love their Epi line, though!)

anything overly "signatured"

Oh! And Longchamp. Never, ever Longchamp.

Thanku! Longchamp...now that's an ugly yet expensive bag. I would say it may make a good beater bag or vacation bag, but Kipling is much better, less $, and cuter styles besides. I don't get the fascination w Longchamp at all.

Longchamp cause it's ugly.

What about "bought and will never buy again"? Gucci. High price for low quality. Bought one of their limited edition bags in a lovely platinum lilac-silver, the bag was US$1200, pricey for a Gucci bag that small, and it doesn't even zip properly!!!!

How is it that a designer bag cannot zip properly when a cheaper Kate Spade bag wouldn't have problems zipping. Molds easily too. I stored my bags when I moved to another country and that was the only one out of all my designer bags that molded.

Your Gucci molded? Or the Kate Spade?

I have been reading about the quality issues. I was looking at a Prada wallet and decided against for that same reason. What is up with that?

no idea! their quality control is very sketchy. i found a bit ironic that miuccia prada was (is?) a communist but does not think much of overcharging customers fro goods produced in countries were there are no minimum wages and almost no rights for workers...another reason not to buy prada or miu miu

This is such a great forum! I have often thought about this. I agree with some of you on the logo bags that are over the top. This is simply because I detest walking down street and seeing someone with a faux version of my authentic bag on their arm. It irritates me so much! If I am going to pay that kind of money, I want my bag to be more unusual. When I go to Gucci or Louis Vuitton, for example, I typically am attracted to the bags that are less obviously associated with those makers. I love the patent Alma from Louis Vuitton and the python bags from Gucci. Don't get me wrong, I still carry the monogram bags, but only if the style is not likely to be copied and sold at a kiosk for a dime. Just my two cents! :D
