@Ulysses19, I chickened out! Still haven't done it! Do you like your result? Or is it too soon to tell? How was the experience with Dr Ahn? If you were to do it again would you recommend?
Yeah it’s too early to really tell, but so far the process has been pretty straightforward. Dr Chris is nice and approachable. I asked a million questions and was super nervous but him and his nurse made me feel at ease. I’m day 6 po so still a lot of swelling and uneven swelling so can’t really tell just yet!!

Please come back later and let us know if you are happy with the result. I presume you did DES and not revision? I am in Melbourne so there is the travel part to sort out, would have done it already if I was living in Sydney. Perhaps 2025.

Yes of course! I found this thread super helpful and would be happy to try and be of some help to others contemplating it! When I was chatting to Dr Ahn, he mentioned that he trained under a surgeon who specialised in DES revisions.
I’m from Adelaide so the travel was a bit more to organise but it was super easy to get there. 1 train from airport to central, jump on the next train to Chatswood. Takes not even 30 mins and his surgery is literally next to the Chatswood metro station. I stayed overnight at the hotel about 30metres walk from the drs. So easy! Just wore sunnies and a hat everywhere!

Hi guy, I’m hoping to get some info on Dr Steven Liew vs Dr Chris Ahn. I know Dr Liew is relatively well renowned but haven’t seen a lot of his b&a / heard about his bedside manner. Dr Ahn seems to be doing a lot more DES thesedays.. any thoughts? Thank you!!

Hey, I had a positive experience with Dr Chris Ahn. I just got my DES down late November this year. I found him professional and approachable. Even though it’s only been about 5 weeks post op, I’m very happy with the results even though there is still swelling. I was so nervous but now wish I had done it earlier!

Hey! So it’s been 5 weeks and I’m super happy with results so far. There is still swelling but they have evened out. I’ll attach the progress photos. Warning, bit graphic with swelling and bruising and you will see what I mean about the uneven swelling!
The photos are pretty much daily updates and the last photo is the before and after.
Happy to answer any questions!!

Hey thanks for the info!! And your results look great. What height did you get and did you think the height fell much post 10 days?

Thanks! I’m happy with them. I’m pretty sure I got 7mm, and they have settled a fair bit more since 10 days, but for the better, they were too high/swollen that they didn’t look natural. Now they are starting to, esp with eyelashes on!

Hey!
So it’s been 3 months and I wish I had done them sooner! They have settled really well and I have had no issues at all. They do still get a bit of swelling/puffiness in the mornings when waking up, but nothing anyone else would notice, just me. I just took a photo with no makeup or lashes on and I woke up about 1.45hrs ago just to give you an idea.
I did full incisional DES and that’s it.
It’s crazy, no one even noticed I had anything done! It was such a subtle and natural change, couldn’t be happier.
Are you looking to get just DES or something else?
