Demi Moore with short hair in the Landman TV series and Capote Vs. The Swans (another TV series). I think she will continue defying the norm and keep her hair long (but maybe more trims will help the ends from looking straggly). Another downside to menopause is hair loss. She likes defying the norm. (Also, these short hair cuts are wigs.)

In her prime at 40. I think she loves this look because she almost looks the same - long hair, toned body. She was 42 and Cameron Diaz 32 I think in this picture. Again, defying the norm. This is around the same time she met Ashton Kutcher.

Another Oscar best actress who won was Emma Stone for Poor Things (2024). It also had a raunchy scene. (I think the judges are mostly male. lol) I don’t think Demi Moore has to go to such lengths to get an Oscar. Viewership ratings for the Oscars / Academy Awards has been declining every year anyway.

She has nothing to prove and clearly enjoys acting.

^^ Alas, the second picture looks waxy and Mme-Tussaud like.
I wish I could have kept my young face, but that is not how things go. Acceptance may be painful, yet, I much prefer a naturally aged face to these mask-like distorted images. IMO all these procedures do not make you look younger, they make you look operated on.

Agreed. But social media is making these procedures known. I don’t condone or recommend them. But if it makes a person feel younger, why not. I am amazed at how fast technology is moving. Now I’m hearing of Ultherapy prime, another non-invasive procedure. But like Morpheus 8, in the long run, we hear about the side effects.

Celebrities like Demi Moore do have access to these. As long as they don’t over do it. And they give us lessons - which I don’t mind. Nicole Kidman with her Botox. Kardashians with their endless fillers. The list goes on.

Side topic. I love her chihuahua. Does she have more than one? This is my favorite breed. Sadly mine passed away during covid. Now I have a Maltese. Oh, so very different.

Remember a time when Demi shaved her head for some military movie? She was HOT. She was so beautiful, she didn't even need hair. Now I don't get this super long straight hair look. It ages her actually.

I admit, I decided to comment in this thread because I was bothered by the comments saying she was not beautiful and didn’t deserve the cover of People magazine. But everyone’s tastes are different.

Also I find it troubling when non-Americans brag that their elders are aging gracefully (no work done at all), when in fact the first time I heard of deep plane facelifts was from a very popular European influencer (not an actress or model) in Instagram who I heard from this forum. 😝 unlike American actors and actresses who don’t spill the beans.

I never liked the long hair. Her best look IMO was the pixie cut in Ghost.

Demi is beautiful and is having a moment but I don’t know that anyone ever thought she was the *most* beautiful woman in the world. Isn’t that what the magazine cover said?

Demi or not, a 65 year old with plastic surgery is going to look better than a 65 year old without it. The problem comes when they can’t stop and it starts to look alien-ish.

Maybe I read wrong. I thought someone said she was never beautiful at all. lol. My mistake.

Most beautiful woman.. yes, that is very debatable. To me, that would be a person beautiful both inside and out. Like a female Keanu Reeves with a clean cut and shows random acts of kindness (like giving up his seat to a lady in a train, buying an engagement ring to a random couple in a jewelry store and not disclosing that he did it). A person who has a good heart. It’s when you leave the room, and you’re touched by their presence who comes across as the kindest being on the planet and radiants it.

But for People magazine, it’s really all external looks and accomplishments. 😆 and if you put someone like Dakota Johnson on the cover who has a movie coming up, I’m not sure if people would be pleased. She also doesn’t seem to have a lot of movies under her belt.

I love Maltese too. And became a big fan of pocket dog myself thanks to my tiny imperial tzu.

As far as whom is the most beautiful issue people mag, it is basically a PR stunt.
It is glorious to see someone older be considered and thriving. J/S

My view is that anyone can do what they like, procedures-wise, but it is mostly obvious, even when subtly done, and it's better to be honest about it.

The reason I think that is because many people are gullible and easily-led and believe it when a "celebrity" lies about having had no plastic surgery and the "follower" then thinks that they themselves should look "better" than they do. That's not fair at all.

Surgery or not. None of our business. But don't lie about it. Just smile and ignore the topic! That's my view. Don't lie.

That's a good one! Other than she looks startled in the after, but maybe she was.
