Um, yes I did. Too bad I cannot make money from a brain that has a knack for useless trivia!

But dear Shelby started it....just one quote and it's like opening a spam file in my head! (Just ask my family!)

Oh I should add I probably don't have every word quoted exactly...but most would recognize a line or the general idea. There's probably a DVD with subtitles so I could check. But I'll save my pennies for more orange!

Allaborsa and Mia, my family is just like this - yesterday my sisters, dad, and I were doing lines from Blazing Saddles. It's not that we just throw out lines, it's that the lines from various movies are part of our family vocabulary. If someone's picking on someone else, the line might be, "Help, Help, I'm being repressed - now we see the violence inherent in the system"! (another Python line) and everyone just starts laughing.

Inconceivable!!!!

MiaT and shelby Throw Mama from theTrain and Princess Bride have great lines...and in order to answer my sons, who have much better memories than I do, I found movie quotes.com they list the most memorable lines from a list of movies :yahoo:

LOL!

Miracle Max: He probably owes you money huh? I'll ask him.

Other dude: He's dead. He can't talk.

Miracle Max:Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.

Other dude: What's that?

Miracle Max:Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Hehehe! :D Love that exchange!

And Blazing Saddles! LOL!

"Mongo only pawn in game of life."

"What's your name?

Well, my name is Jim. But most people call me.........Jim."

"Mongo like candy."

"Excuse me while I whip this out."

Well irish  so glad you're back

Hello my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
Stop saying that

As you wish

and I love Miracle Max and his wife

Lily, at least you've been a member since 2008 and have 10,000 posts. That's acceptable.......I'm a little embarrassed that I have over 10,000 posts, and I've only been a member 11 months. I think I have too much time on my hands...:wtf: But, I agree with you, I've met some of the most wonderful people. Because of living in sticky, humid S. Fla. I have many scarves, but seldom wear them. I didn't even own a fur collar....until my aunt just left me a mink one, that I may have to model for you in the fall. I only have one Hermes scarf, and I find it so funny that this is my favorite thread, because of the people envolved! I want to thank you all in this thread... for being so friendly and kind, rather than like some of the other sections that I've heard, have so much bickering. I love it here!!!:hugs::heart::smooch:

Hmmmm, all those "Good Morning Furbies":sunshine:posts wouldn't have anything to do with that count, now would they, beauty?

I'm glad you enjoy it here, tillie, and you do much to make it the fun place it is. I like the idea that there is no drama here either - well, except when irish and I slap each other over food choices, but she knows that I love her and it's all in good fun (well, until she goes after that mana from heaven, that balm of Gilead - extra virgin olive oil, that is!)

Where is the irish anyway? Did she get off the boat?

Tillie.... so beautifully said!! I completely agree with you. This thread is by far the most special on tpf, and I feel that after only a few short months, I've found another family of incredibly warm, supportive, funny, smart women that I intend to keep up with for a very very long time. I rarely visit other threads, as I agree with tillie, the tone can sometimes be very "different", but we all seem to be in this together (if Irish were here, she'd break into song right now!!). Everyone has a very definite personality in their posts, and in spite of not having seen photos of most of you, I think I could pick each and every one of you out of a lineup (hopefully that's a lineup outside the H sale, and not in the cop shop!!).

THREE CHEERS FOR THE FURBIES!!!:smooch:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL BONBON!!! :flowers::hugs:

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 10,000 POST LILY (gee, do you and tillie get some sort of recognition from H for that honor??)

Beautifully said, hclub. Thank you. This whole thing started as just a bit of silliness and a little Christmas gift to the H. forum going on two years ago.

Who knew where it would end up! And, I think that it ended up in just the right place - in friendship, in respect for one another, and in love. So, here's to us.:ghi5:

And, no, by gosh, I got no recognition from H. for that 10,000th post whatsoever. They could have at least tossed a little book of those special stickies my way now couldn't they?

We love you too, lily - but now that you know how to do it, would you please put the accents in your siggy? I know - I'm such a nag!:btdh:

Yes, "nag," I will. I was just a tad busy on Saturday - like 12 hours straight, and yesterday, I was too tired and bleary-eyed to do anything about it.

Geeeesh, talk about a one-track mind. But, yes, I will, I will. For you!:D
