Alrighty, I'm hoping some of you lovely ladies might be able to help me out...

I only have one DL, Bad Romance, and this has been my third time wearing it. This is also the third time I've had really bad tip wear/chips from it within one day. Polish has always chipped more frequently on me than a lot of people, and it is not unusual for polish not to last 48 hours - but usually they last at least 24 hours!

Each time I've used different base/top coats to see if that helped, but so far it hasnt. Has anyone else had this issue with DL? Any top/base coat recommendations? So far I've tried the following:

- Base: Julep Nail Therapy, Top Coat: Seche Vite
- Base: Nail Life Revitalizer, Top Coat: Out the Door
- Base: Nail Life Revitalizer, Top Coat: OPI standard top coat (this is what I currently have on, thought maybe using a non quick dry top coat would help but alas it hasnt)

I hope it will, I'd be so sad if this brand just doesnt work with my body/nail chemistry :(

I use Deborah Lippmann's Rehydrating Base Coat and Hard Rock top coat to fairly good results, although I should say some of my nails peel at the tips so when I lose polish on those nails I forgive the polish and blame my weak nails.

I feel your frustration. I have worse problems with Chanel and Illamasqua, both brands I cannot wear their color without it chipping within a couple hours! :nogood: If anyone here has recommendations on top & base coats for those it would be much appreciated!

On another note, Peachy Polish has swatches of the Barney's exclusive The Millionaire's Holiday and the mini set She's Always a Woman.

I have the same issue with Chanel! I have found that using non fast dry top coats helps a bit, but I'm still lucky if I make it to the 24 hr mark chip free.

I definitely have peeling issues as well at times, so I don't count it if the polish chips in those areas. However I've found that my DL chips all over :( Sometimes even at the bottom of the nail (but not the top), which I've never had happen before.

I love Chanel polish colors, however, they chip same day for me. I have been using Deborah Lippmann rehydrating base coat and CND Super Shiney topcoat and it's been an amazing combination for me. My last mani lasted 8 days with some minor tip wear which is amazing for me!!!

On another note, I just painted my nails with Modern Love and am in looooove with this color , it is a great nude!

I have been eyeing Modern Love, please post a pic if you get a chance. :D

I have major chipping problems with DL >_< But their quick-dry top coat and hydrating base coat are amazing! *sigh* Some of the recent releases, like Human Nature (from the Sooki Sooki set) an Let it Bleed (from the Forsaken set) look particularly amazing.

Thanks for posting, Audrey. That explains this photo I found below but which the user later deleted. The last polish doesn't look purple, could be the photo or perhaps another color which is why it was deleted. I don't know anything about the show.

Sigh... I'm so sad I sold all my DL's!!! I have none left except for Happy Birthday, and that's all the way back in Canada.. Need more!! And, oh.. They're SO EXPENSIVE here in the uk.. £16 per bottle no thanks.
