Not sure which to get (if I can even track the one I want!)

Thinking the Deauville in black canvas with black lettering - this is the one I may not be able to find. I like it as it’s not as in your face as other ones

OR

the LV on the go tote - this is still in the box in my room as I’m on the fence because just saw the all black Deauville which is more subtle. I am also not sure about the size - I am not keen on the MM for the shape rather than size if that make any sense.

I have a two year old and four year old and work PT and do often lug a laptop around as well as kiddy snacks lol

any perspective will be appreciated

I actually tried both on this week as I was trying to decide between the two. I ended up getting the Chanel Deauville in the black on black (similar to you I’ve been waiting for them to release a Deauville where the Chanel lettering wasn’t quite so in your face). When I tried on the On the Go at LV, I just thought it was too stiff and wouldn’t suit my lifestyle. That’s how I felt about the leather Deauville too. I think you should try both on and you’ll probably be able to figure it out instantly.

I went in to that shopping day thinking I would buy a leather Deauville, tried that on, and the LV On the Go and walked away with a canvas Deauville...haha I posted this pic of my purchase already in the January 2020 purchases thread. I’ll be using this for work to carry a laptop as well as casually with my three kiddos.

What do you all prefer? I want something that is fashionable and more stylish? Please let me know I all ready ordered the onthego but still thinking of the deauville. Please help‍♀️

I love this so much and have been wanting a Deauville for a while. Would look amazing paired with the sneakers!

I love Chanel, but I am not a fan of the deauville. To ME it really seems like a gift with purchase sort of bag. I tried to like them but I always ended up selling. Also depending on what size you get, you might not have the double handles? Lastly, again my opinion, I don’t think they are very well made & do have some history with issues and wear.

The logo on the LV is monstrous, but it’s LV so you sort of expect that kind of kitsch. With the logo on the Chanel it looks forced and contrived - but some people like to be out there that way. It’s a great entry level bag for Chanel, and for those trying really hard to be like HEY LOOK AT ME CARRYING CHANEL, but my interpretation of what Chanel has been and maybe should be is a tad more... refined? The LV is just being LV so it works.

Waauwww I have the same problem! I have ordered the onthego mm Friday and receiving is tomorrow. I already had the GM but i have sold it, because it was to heavy and the straps hurts my shoulder. Anyway Saturday I bought the same deauville all black. I think it’s more classy. I also think the onthego mm is a bit to small. Do I think I’m going to return it tomorrow as I receive it. Sorry for my bad English

This is a beautiful bag
But too flimsy and fragile
I still love it
Did. I Not get it, couldn’t justify its purchase for the price and the cloth quality. The LV OTG is a sturdier bag and will stand the rest of time

Now let me tell you I bought mine Saturday and don’t even use it and I already see pilling! It’s like on the corner the black coating is pilling and a white color is appealing. I immediately called the boutique and they say that is craftsmanship and is normal for this bag. She told me that if I can’t Handel this kind of material it’s better to change the bag, because if it disturb me now, it’s going to be more. But this is absurd that I don’t even ware 1 time and I Allready see it. I love the look
Of the bag! I think I’m also keeping it but not 100% sure

I think because I have the black one it’s more obvious with the white color dat is appealing. I don’t think this problem is with light colors, it’s harder to see. But I bought black so I can ware it also in the winter

I went today and I ended up buying the same one as you and now I’m having second thoughts

I went with it because it’s more subtle than the on the go but I do still like the on the go maybe there’s space for two
