Did the seller sell it to you as authentic? You can try to return and state it's not authentic unless you like the bag enough to keep it regardless. Sometimes fakes look better then real. I don't like it when people are scammed when the seller knows and passes the bag as it is real and pricing it as if it is.

No, they were selling it with no authentication, and I didn’t pay over the top so I am not unduly stressed. The hardware on it looks excellent though and all the patterns and stitching are good too.

Authentications can only be done in the authentication thread…you may want to research date codes though or get it professionally authenticated …

I have a purse with a similar non date number, I think this is the model number. Perhaps older than dating with codes. I’m trying to find info on boxes to try to date this. Think it’s 1983 (if not then either 1973 or 2000)

They don't do date codes anymore. Started to use RFID chips a few years ago.

Both N6 and NG are Factory codes that don't exist.

This place only has the factory code with the numbers, there should be no model number. There won't be a model number code on the bag, not on any Louis Vuitton bag.
