Why do you think the date code is weird? Have you had this authenticated?
Thank you for your reply.

I got this together with the Neverfull MM N41603 bag years ago. I really never checked the Pouch out but everything was ok with the Neverfull (Sorry to say I havent taken any notes on the datecode of it). Now I was thinking of selling this one and when looking into it sites call out this date code MS0179 as not beeing genuine.

Also very few sites at all says MS to be French made, but then a few says MS is indeed factory made in France.
Could it be that this date code is tricky since the bag was a part of the Neverfull bag to start with and everything is ok with the pouch as well?

Any ideas?

Regards

Hello everyone. I purchased my LV Noe in Monogram back in February of 2017. Shortly after I purchased the Petit Noe in Eli leather. The Petit size is better for me, so I tried to sell the regular Noe. I sent it to Fashionphile, but they returned it because they said that the Date Code was impossible to find without damaging the bag. When I received the bag back, I tried to find the date code and couldn't. Is this common?

Did you have the vachetta replaced? If you did, they remove the date code when they replace it. Otherwise, it could also have been when they implemented the scan code in lieu of a date code tag.

Hi there. Does anyone know when LV started the chip in their bags? Was it 2021/2022? I just purchased a preloved Petit Noe in "great" condition from Rebag. I haven't received it yet but in the description for "Brand Code" it reads "NFC only" which is the chip I suppose. On other Petit Noe bags on Rebag it has the date code written in next to Brand Code in the description. I'm not sure how great Rebag is in authenticating and if they truly know if there is a chip in the bag as I heard only LV can read the chip. Has anyone used an app to scan their chipped LV? I haven't bought anything new from LV in about 2 yrs so I don't know how much my SA will bend the rules for me and scan mine "just because". I heard they aren't really suppose to do that.

So there are now chip codes in LV bags? No date codes anymore? That is interesting, but I purchased my Noe in 2017, so I don't think that's the issue. Have you every heard of an LV bag's date code being so difficult to find?

Hi there. Yes the newer bags that were released in 2021 (I believe it's 2021) all have chips embedded into the bags. You can not feel them or see them. LV has a scanner that they can scan the bags. They have done this to help distinguish between counterfeit bags. I believe Fendi has started doing this as well.

Bags released before the chips have date codes and depending on the bag, they are located in different areas. For the Noe you will find it right below the D ring stamped directly on the vachetta trim that goes vertical on either side of the bag. I'm not sure if it's on the right side or the left side. You will have to bend the D ring down and look on the vachetta trim. It will be very close to the seam sewn that connects the D ring to the vachetta. It's hard to explain so here is a visual that I found online. Your Noe purchased in 2017 should have a date code unless it is vintage from way back when LV had fabric tags. I'm not a LV expert so Im not sure what year that is or if it was all bags. Are you the original owner and purchased from LV? If not it could be the previous owner had the vachetta switched out as a repair or LV stamped it below the seam so now it's hidden or it's only partially visible.

I have a question about a location stamp on a maybe-fake LV bag. It says DA0023, but as far as I can tell no county has DA as their location code.
It’s a denim bag with red alligator trim. Has anyone come across this?

I used this website to type in your date code. It is not recognized as a LV date code unfortunately:(

I couldn’t find it as a country code either and the tag looks weird for LV. Where did you get this bag?
