I ordered mine on 11/2 and received it on 11/4. Was wondering how could it made in France between 10/26 - 11/1 and shipped it to the USA that fast? Hope someone can explain. Thanks in advance!

I also have another question and hope that some of you could tell me why. I purchased a Portefeuille Sarah wallet (old Sarah) in monogram in May 2009 at LV Galeries Lafayette in Paris (still have the receipt with me). All these years I didn’t pay attention to where it was made and the date code at all. But today I took a look at it and it says “Made in U.S.A.” The date code is SD1029. So I’m really confused. 1) I purchased the wallet in France but how come it was made in USA? 2) The date code of SD1029 means it was made on the 12th week of 2009 in France. The location stamped and date code are contradicted. How can you explain? Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks in advance!
I am not an authority but I can venture a guess. the "SD" workshop code is commonly thought of as MIUSA (San Dimas, CA), but SD is also a France produced factory code listed on some reference charts. Why did you happen to buy a MIUSA item while in France? It could be because stores were known to do international exchanges on brand-new items, as long as they had verified receipts and within the return period. So perhaps someone purchased the wallet labeled "MIUSA", in the USA, traveled to France and exchanged it for something else. Like I said, these are simply possibilities.
Overnight shipping ? Future date codes placed in items and inadvertently shipped ahead of schedule ? There are myriads of ideas and guesses! Oh the secrets we all wish we were privvy to !! I think intrigue plays some part in keeping the brand elusive and therefore why it is one of the most successful designer brands produced.

Yes, maybe they placed future date codes in the items. I guess as long as it’s authentic that’s all that matters.
Anyone here which has date code VI year 2018? Ive read online that VI factory was closed year 2011
Hi! I purchased an Emilie today at the LV store in fuchsia and my date code had VM4260. My wallet is made in France. Did you every find out any more info about the VM date code?
I just bought a Palm Springs Mini and my SA said that it’s made in the USA code SD4260 with no cloth tag that says made in USA. My friend who also bought a PSM has a cloth tag that says made in USA but hers was made in TX. Is there a reason why mine doesn’t have the cloth tag?

Though i was not skeptical about it's authenticity since I bought it from the LV boutique in Frankfurt last Aug.
