Dashing December Purchases 2021

Found this on the site earlier this week and came in just in time! First time seeing the pm size in person, it’s so cute! I can’t put this over my shoulder without my underarms touching it. So probably won’t be using it over the shoulder w a sleeveless top. Anyone else have a pm and experiences? I was deciding between the mono or the de but only found the de come in stock this whole year! Below r some pics and with my gm size!

Hello! I’m sorry to jump in like this but I have a very unexpected “dilemma.” Using the quotes because obviously it is a nice problem to have… for Christmas, my husband surprised me with a capuchines bb in black with GHW. I was not expecting any bag, much less one so expensive. The issue is that I’m not sure it is a bag that fits my life right now- I have 2 small kids (no diapers) so I usually carry epi pens and things like hand wipes. The size of the bb means that it could really only be a date night type bag for me, and we unfortunately don’t get out alone all that much- especially during Covid.

I have to decide pretty quickly if I should keep the capucines, exchange for something else, or just return. If I exchanged, I’m eyeing the pochette metis in black empriente or monogram, but I know they can be hard to find and I’ve never actually seen one in person. My current “collection” consists only of a speedy b 30 in DE, which I use as my everyday bag, and a Gucci disco in black that is my night out bag.

I’m leaning toward trying to make an exchange, but my husband is urging me to hang onto the capucines. He picked it out in a store and says the quality and construction is better than a lot of other bags, and he thinks it is a classic style that I will get plenty of use out of over the years.

Any thoughts or opinions would be welcome, especially from anyone more experienced with LV (which I’m guessing is everyone here, haha).

I absolutely LOVE my Pochette Metis in empreinte noir so I vote that. I use it 6 out of 7 days of the week.

Your edit made me laugh I was telling my husband I had one vote for an exchange and then I had to tell him never mind! I’m starting to come around to the idea that I may not use it very often but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not worth keeping. Just owning something so pretty has value, right?

Congratulations on scoring one! It took me a little while too, and DE was the one I had found as well. I’m petite - 5’1” - and the PM is perfect for me proportionally. It’s been in heavy rotation this winter lol. It fits well under my arm if I don’t have my winter coat on but I don’t carry it that way often (personal preference), I either hand-carry or wear in the crook of my arm. I’ll be honest and say if you’re not a fan of wearing it either of those ways a majority of the time, it might not be the bag for you.

Absolutely!! If it brings you joy and it has sentimental value definitely worth owning!

I got the PM size earlier this month also and it's my only Neverfull. I don't like the size of the pouch with it - I can only use that for cards or money, and my phone barely fits. So I got the mini pochette in DE to go with it to fit sanitizer, mask, lip gloss etc.
I can only hand carry it or on the crook of my arm, but it's so tiny and cute that I don't put a bunch of stuff in it anyway.

Christmas gift from me to me. I really wanted it for travel but we decided to cancel our trip to see family due to the current restriction and surging cases. I can still use it as a work bag but right now we are working from home. Lol so I have been carrying it around the house with my sweatshirt and sweatpants. Haha why not?!

I 100% feel you! I got one in October and I just prance around in front of the mirror to check myself out with it haha. There will definitely be future trips ones day!

Keep it! The BB is the best size, don't only use for date night. It' fits more than you would think!
The pm and mm would lose shape over time and so heavy. Your hubby did a big thing! After 16 years and my hubby has never bought me a bag, I'd feel it's special if he chose one for me.

Thank you for the kind replies. It really is a beautiful bag, I think I’m just reeling from the total surprise and the sticker shock. I never thought I’d own any bag more expensive than my speedy and I’m worried I’ll always be too afraid to take it out anywhere. Here’s a picture of the nerve-wracking gift!

I was going to open the small box first.. but I couldn’t wait any longer to see this beauty. So so glad I happened to see my store had it in stock. I’ve been thinking about this bag ever since it came out. My first real DA bag and first bag with any significant amount of vachetta. The DA with RB interior and the new vachetta just makes me smile it’s so fresh and makes me so happy! And bonus -it’s super comfortable on the shoulder. Happy holidays everyone!
