Would you mind sharing the price as well? Approximately:smile1: I know lolipop mentioned that they are expensive..

Also, do they provide an english translator now? Or do I have to come with somebody who speaks Korean?

Thaanks
I'm really sorry, but I can't recall the exact price of the surgery. My mother took me and handled most of the billing. For epi and partial incision, it was certainly over $3000. I also remember their price was much more expensive than all the other clinics' I went to. We asked if they could give us a little discount, but the consultant said no, everything is a set price for everyone.
I'm not certain if they have an english translator. I'm pretty sure they have a chinese translator since they had chinese writing on the entrance and signs. My mother speaks korean, so she was pretty much my translator.
I don't think I would 100% recommend Idea though. I wasn't completely satisfied with my experience.

Wow that seems expensive, imagine how much it would be for facial contouring that I want..

About the english consultant I asked because they provide an english website and also they mention they have a professional interpreter residing there.

But why aren't you completely satisfied with your experience?

What aren't u satisfied with? The result? Or the aftercare? How far out post-op are u btw?

Hello.
May I ask you what is the name of your surgeon who did your eyes ?
I am going back in may to do eyes. Yesterday I received a pic of someone who read my threads and went to do nose in idea it looks great !

As for the reason why I went to idea Is because I asked my Korean friends who work in other clinics who I should go to get stem cell fg and fc and they all told me idea clinic.

Dr koo is very well known as well as 2 other Dr's there he is specialised in lipo and breast augmentation if I am not wrong.

I didn't end up with them because I had to wait for 3 weeks before I could have a spot for all my surgeries which is a pity.

What eye procedure you had exactly ?
It was Kwon Jang Deok. I had epi and partial incision done.
My cousin recommended him and said that he's famous for his eye surgeries. The consultation went well, so I chose Idea out of the clinics I visited.
However I don't fully love my results. One eye is very slightly higher than the other and I don't think he stitched one of the incisions well because a tiny scab formed and the scar is much more noticeable than the other, which is practically invisible. The aftercare was pretty non existent. I had some concerns but he pretty much brushed them off and said everything will be fine and went about his way. It felt as if he was so busy to even answer a few questions. I now realize that aftercare with the surgeon is pretty minimal in Korea but I just wish he had given me some genuine reassurance. I was really swollen so I was extremely worried and stressed then.
My mother was pretty disappointed by his attitude, but she does think my eyes came out well. I am a perfectionist, so I don't know if I'm being nit picky or not. Other than those issues, I am pretty satisfied (I wouldn't get a revision or anything) but I would be a bit hesitant to highly recommend him.

Edit: One eyelid might be a bit higher due to him not measuring and marking my eyes before surgery. I didn't know then, but he just used the instrument to make double eyelids and asked, "is that how high you want your double eyelid?' and I was whisked away into surgery.

Then maybe they do have an english translator since they have they provide an english website.
Yeah, they're expensive. He's on this family talk show in Korea with his wife, who is an actress I think, not a famous one though. Now that I look at the website, that does kind of go in hand with him supposedly having done surgeries on stars. So maybe that's why they are pretty expensive?
I responded to someone else with why I'm not completely satisfied. Hope it helps.

Thanks for sharing.
After care is important to me because I am the type of patient who gets paranoid after surgery and afraid of infections so I would come to the clinic every single day 😅😅😅

But this seems impossible in idea.
When I was consulting there they didn't let me see any pictures of before and after. Was it the case for you too?

i just read your private message.
Thanks for your response and hep.
All the best!
May I ask what Exactly Dr. Lee did to your mandible? What did he say he would do? I mean how many inches/centimeters from the ear did he shave? Also did he just shave or did he cut the bone? And did he do anything with the mandible corner? From the photos I can't really tell..

Thank you :)

Hi everyone,

I have known this forum for the last 8 years. Back then i was looking for a nose revision specialist already.
I have been seeing so many promoters putting fake reviews while doing research and new forms of promoters who have bee using different ways to promote the clinics they work for too :graucho: Smarter ways and less obvious

I feel so sorry for the girls who are new to PS and come here and been influencing by them and have botched jobs or not so good results... so therefore, even though i was lazy to write a review about the clinics i went to and wonder why all the girls who had amazing results didnt write about it either I decided to write about my experience this time in Seoul. Have been sharing photos with my kakao group chat already:heart:

I gotta thanks all the girls who I have been contacting for the last 1.5 year who never wrote reviews about their experiences but who had amazing results and were willing to share with me their photos so i can make my own decision too. Without seeing real patients, my choice would have been harder to make.

In Korea, they will apply soon a legislation that forbids promoting ps clinics with pictures, price events, etc because they have been a lot of issues related to this matter.
My friends who works for big clinics told me this. I don't go to big clinics because of swapping drs. Thats business reality and there is a chance that happens. I also avoid clinics that do too much marketing. A girl i met from this forum has had botched job from JW. I feel so sorry for her as after ps can be so depressing already!

So I thought i would write this review straight after surgery but didnt get the chance to do so even though i stayed in Seoul for 32 days.

I met some wonderful girls thanks to this forum they will also write a review about their experience too.
2 girls in my group went to DA I must say dr Lee made them very pretty

I have been exchanging with a dozen of nice girls who went to DA the last and I absolutely love their results…but as we are talking about plastic surgery , i still planned to visit 24 clinics before making my decision up.

However, in reality i only made it to 20 clinics

My origin plan was to visit 5 clinics per day but in reality this is not possible especially for my case as i needed to see diffrent doctors in one clinic.

Moreover you need to wait for drs to finish their surgeries sometimes so I would strongly recommend 3 clinics per day if you need to see different drs like me.

First, I arrived at Incheon airport after 15 hours of trip ☹
Went to hire a simcard at olleh counter and got a sim card with unlimited data for kwn 44,000 for 30 days.
After 1 hour, the taxi drop me to my hotel. The fare was 95.000 Kwn.

Anyways, I started with 2 hours of delay consutaltion with DAPRS and my cousin came with me.
• The clinic is located near Paris Baguette at Sinnonhyeon Station, exit 6.
I met Katie, their english translator for the firt time. She was nice and very professionnal. She was not very talkative on Kakao but very informative. Not in a too friendly way nor fake and tell you a lot of things. She is very cute but i think she is all natural haha
The clinic is very busy for a mid sized clinic for 3 floors. Some chinese customers, thai, even a very handsome european guy.

Katie took me to take pictures first before the consultations with dr for face and breast and then CT Scan. (my advice here is to buy the ct scan from the first clinic you go to or else you would do it again and again in other clinics. I learned that but on the second day only. April 31 didnt let me buy it from them though even I paid
80 000 Kwn for it but Jewelry clinic did).

I met Dr Koo first, the breast sepcialist. He is board certified surgeon ;)
I checked through www.prskorea.com and he is board certified surgeon.

My cousin was with me, Katie asked if she can come with me during consultations.
It would be too long to tell you in details but he was the only dr with the dr in idea clinic to point out about my protruding bones on the upper right breast, which will limits the size of the implant. One dr in Paris and Geneva did told me that already by the way but i didnt want to go for round shapes implants back then.

After an hour of consultation with Dr Koo, went throught my list of questions, dr Koo understood what i was asking for but answered in Korean. Not sure if it was because my cousin was there or not. It wasnt a rush consultation, he went straight to the point and was pleasant but distant korean style ;) At that time, i didnt know he would be the only one who would point out that protruding « issue » for my breast. But i only visiited 20 other clinics and maybe i should have visited me. There are around 4000 surgeons in Korea, and around 1000 are board certified surgeons. You have plenty of choices to choose your own surgeon.

Then I got to meet Dr Lee. I came to Korea to do eyes, nose revision, zygoma, angularplasty.
I was excited to see him as i was so impressed by his works on the girls on forum and one in particular, she is from Switzerland and shared with my kakao group chat all her experience in details with DAPRS. She looks drop dead gorgeous now !!!!!

So i prepared some words in korean to tell him in person, and i made eveyrone laugh when i said it out loud. I think my pronouciation not very good. Haha
He checked my ct scan and began with this : « I must admit that your nose is really well done, i dont recommend you touch it. »
I was like what ??? but my nose is ugly can’t you do anything about it ?
Dr lee said no, it is not ugly. It s well done inside and outside ☹
OK he pursued with my eyes. He said he thinks my eyes are pretty ☹ I wanted to have those big eyes Dr lee makes to my friends so I asked him what if i begged you to do something about it ? I dont like this and that…then he said, sorry i wont do anything to your eyes nor nose.
Don’t need to mention how much i hated him at that time. Lol
But it made my cousin so happy that she yelled out loud how much she likes Dr Lee. My cousin is korean, believe it nor not, never done plastic surgery and told me i shouldnt do anything to my eyes or nose. But im quite stubborn and I left DA thinking well i will find a dr who can do my eyes and nose together with my fc.

But Dr lee recommended me zygoma reduction like the other 19 clinics lol
And angularplasty and about my chin, he said he would like to shave it a bit as i was quite reluctant when he talks about t-oesteotomy. Didnt want to have any screws on my face !

Both consultations were very pleasant. I heard some that Dr lee can be very distant, arrogant and heard that he suggested too many procedures to some patients. As for my experience, it was not like that and he is quite humble and make you feel at ease. We spent another hour in consultation with my cousin, Katie and I. Dr lee speaks great english but didnt speak in english the whole time wiht me. My friend is a dentist and she booked with him straight away, and they spoke in english the whole time together. She said they talk a lot and he used a lot of techincal words…

Dr lee answered all my questions and god knows i have a lot to ask all the drs and both Dr lee and Dr Koo showed me a lot of patience and respect. My friends said that it was because i was with my cousin but my 2 friends who went there had the same experience and they speak english only.

To be honest, Dr lee and Dr Koo totally understood what i wanted and seemed to know exactly how they are going to make me a better me.

I followed with other visits to other clinics. In total, i visisted 20 for nose, face contouring, liposuccsion, BA, FG.
I spent 2 weeks in consultations before I booked with DAPRS. I ended up doing fc, this includes zygoma reduction, angloplasty, genioplasty, full face fat graft and Breast augmentation with tear drop implants.

Note that I only paid DA for shaving a bit the chin to make it less wide. And Dr lee asked me just before surgery what did i think about t-oesteotomy as he thinks this would be the best method for me, therefore having screws to fix it.

I told him i trusted him and let him do what was the best for me ( was thinking should i go back and pay for the extra screws and this method now or after surgery haha). So i said i leave it up to you to dr Lee. He said, no. Your opinon matters to me. I want to know what you think about it. (I knew a girl from last year who didnt want to do genioplasty after zygoma and jaw reduction now coming back in July to have genioplasty in the end, so i didnt want to have to come back just for that). I told him i was ok with that if he thinks it will look better.

It would be too long of a story to write about all my 19 other consultations and I felt bad last time i wrote sthg about Dr Kwon at Teuim clinic. It is not because my friends in ps business laugh at him and that I found all his pictures ugly that some of you will not like him…

so this time around, i wont bad mouth about any clinics. There are 3 top clinics i liked and went to 3 consultations. Some clinics like April 31 does not allow you to come and see dr more than once though Brian was nice to say i would have been able to see dr a second time. I did not end up going there, too much sales procedures for me…

And my 4th one was with DA and now im post op one month and 2 weeks and one day and i dont regret my choice.

Thanks for sharing your experience :) I'm actually having a hard time getting in touch with DAPRS? Have tried email, Line and Kakao, but no reply...

I like your detailed review and after pictures.
I also got some procedures from DA last month during the trip. I got only Botox and a skincare program (facelift) but that was so satisfactory that I've ever experienced at any other hospitals.
Staffs were kind and a female doctor who treated me was extremely professional -i don't remember her name-
Definitely recommendable plastic surgery practice in Korea.(my personal opinion)

Hi lollipop! Your results look absolutely beautiful! I hope one day I can be finished on my PS journey and look as good as you! May I please ask where you got your eyes done and with which dr? I can't really see fully from the pics but from what I can see, I love your eye shape! Are you happy wih your eyes? As I heard you said you may get eye revision. Also, have you tried stem cell fat graft? I'm going to Korea next week and messaged you on kakao! Don't know if you got it. If so, please take a look and reply back :). Thanks in advance!!

fake review la you!!! your account is : Joined: Jan 2015

and you told us you have been in this forum for 8 years? are you kidding me?

Don't say bad things about JW and keep promoting DA...I have heard enough bad news about DA too.

guys, be aware!

She said she has "known" this forum for 8 years. Knowing doesn't mean she has to create an account back then. I'm sure when we were doing our research on plastic surgery, we come across different sources. From soyoung, singaporeexpats, cozycot, realself etc. I have been lurking around singaporexpats for the past 6 years and I have never created an account because I just felt there wasn't a need to post anything.
