Well, when I bought mine, I didn't really know anything about the brand. I just really liked how it looked. Even if it doesn't hold its staying power, I still love the bag. I've been carrying mine every day since i got it and I LOVE it. I keep getting stopped by people asking me where I got it from and it holds a ton of stuff. I just love how it looks on.
Thanks Yaz - that’s great you’re loving yours! I know I love the Johnny (well, from pictures...want to see in person before purchasing). How is the leather holding up...does it scratch easily or do scratches come out?
I didn’t mean to sound vain...it’s actually the opposite. Just don’t want an “it” bag but something that will stand the test of time, like a classic. But then again, with their streamlined minimalist asthetic, I think Danse Lente will.
I just received this from Net-a-Porter around two weeks ago and I've been loving it! It's spacious, lightweight, and the quality seems amazing so far.

I just noticed on Purseblog that the Johnny is being carried by some at NY Fashion Week...ugh, don’t want it to become an “it” brand but I guess that’s an endorsement for how nice the bags are!

As soon as I saw these bags I had to have the Johnny. I loved the large hardware and especially this colour combo. First impression is that it’s really well made and even though it’s a smooth leather, it doesn’t look like it would scratch easily. I’ve only worn it 3 times but so good so far. My only issue with the Johnny is the opening to get your stuff in and out of the bag.
What IS the opening like? Because I've squinted at the online images and I just don't have a good sense of it.

I don’t think I ever saw photos of the opening in the websites I was looking at. So I had no idea until I received the bag.
As you can see, it’s a little awkward to get things in and out of. The side flaps aren’t soft either so it feels like you’re damaging the leather if you pull at it too much. I’ve only been carrying my chanel zipped card case with it and a small coin purse but if you had a medium sized or a long wallet, it would be bothersome.
Yeah, that opening is what ultimately put me off the bag. I love the style, and nearly bought it. I was hoping maybe you'd tell me it's not that bad and I was overreacting.

Hahaha sorry! I love the bag though and will make it work and tolerate the opening. At first I thought there might be some trick to it, like maybe I’m just dense. If there is, I haven’t worked it out yet ♀️[emoji23]
