And she wears a lot of Marchesa dresses -- another tie in some say since the "designer" is Weinsteins wife.

The guy from Game of Thrones who plays Jamie Lannister said he was offered the world in Hollywood when he was younger if he only would lay on the couch so to speak-- he declined and look how long it took him -- he's got the looks, body, height and decent acting and he's in his mid 40's. Who knows who he might of been if he had only laid on the casting couch.

Ryan Seacrest is another famous example.

Exactly, if you do what the higher-ups want, and do it well, you are rewarded. Good on that guy for declining it..at least he can sleep well at night.

Poor Brian Dunkleman.

Hollywood is sick, crazy business. We don't know half of the stuff that goes on. Some people will do anything for fame and some of these guys prey on that. The casting couch is not a rumour, it is very much a real thing. I shudder at the thought of how many aspiring entertainers have been taken advantage of by those sickos.

I agree, that's true. I'm just not sure these photos in particular constitute evidence of that - only that some celebs like to take and send "naughty" pics.

Girl is admitting to a felony of creating child porn? Lots of kids around the country have been charged for that. Look up the various 'sexting' stories.

She's saying that by them stealing her photos and a open biz buying them with intent to distribute, it's child porn.

OK, so some skin-pics leaked out. Annoying? Yes. Invasion of privacy? Yes. Fodder for a possible civil suit someday? Yes.

Crime Of The Freaking Century? Not even close.

Sugah Cheeks, the FBI has real crimes to deal with. You know, the kind where people get killed for real? The kind where people lose their life savings? They don't need you wasting their time over this. You want to fuss at somebody? Fuss at Apple for their inadequate security.

This is spot on. This is grounds for a civil suit, not an FBI investigation.

Victoria Justice 'Taking Legal Action' After Alleged Nude Photos

Victoria Justice has taken to Twitter again to speak out about the alleged nude photos that leaked of her in the massive celebrity phone hack.

The 21-year-old actress took to Twitter to provide an additional statement, after her initial response that the pics were fake.

“Shortly after I tweeted about certain pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy,” Victoria tweeted. “There have always been fake photos of me on the internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake.”

She continued, “I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside of me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights.”

Whoever this hacker is, they're going to get a lot more than 10 years, as was the case with Scarlett Johanssen. That was for one act of hacking. This involves a whole lot more.

Some more info from a few sources:

* HuffPo reports that Apple has rushed out a fix for a possible leak source. A bug called “ibrute” allowed hackers to exploit a weakness in the “Find My iPhone” app. The main problem was that the app didn’t require “brute force protection.” Anyone could enter an infinite number of password attempts and never be locked out of an account. Apple tells the Mail there’s still no guarantee yet that iCloud is completely safe, but “We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report.”

* Jennifer Lawrence previously admitted to MTV that iCloud’s backup methods are confusing: “My iCloud keeps telling me to back it up, and I’m like, I don’t know how to back you up. Do it yourself.” Note: JLaw is in no way to blame for her photos leaking. I’m loyal to Apple’s devices, but iCloud is a mess. The settings are jacked, stuff disappears and reappears on its own. That sh-t is confusing. Whether or not JLaw backed up her stuff to iCloud on purpose, she and the other celebs had an expectation of privacy.

* The hacker may not have worked alone. There’s said to be a collective of hackers who pursued this disgusting project for years. Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s tweets indicated that her leaked photos were taken years ago and deleted. Business Insider discusses the “group of enterprising hackers pooling their resources to try and earn the biggest reward.” These dudes solicited Bitcoin donations. The transaction records show they earned $120 total. Other reports say the hackers tried to sell the photos on the internet black market. I guess that didn’t work either.

* The Mail discusses the “original guy” who has been fingered by various posters. This dude posted screenshots that gave away his unique file structure, which led to people figuring out his identity. The guy bragged, “We appreciate your donations and applaud your excitement. I will soon be moving to another location from which I will continue to post.” Buzzfeed has a new interview with this douche, who says he’s not a hacker. He only wanted to con people into sending him Bitcoins. Now he’s driving around, hasn’t slept in 40+ hours, and can’t find an open law office. I don’t know.

This from Deadspin: Interesting article but really bad that they apparently knew about this for weeks and did nothing.

This Guy Was Sharing The Hacked Celeb Nudes Weeks Before They Leaked

Last night, we brought you the story of the Deadspin reader whose girlfriend was approached on Aug. 19 with a strange request—a Facebook user going by the (presumably fake) name of Jason Killan offered her $5,000 for nude pictures or videos. Our reader—we'll call him David—messaged Killan to tell him to **** off, only to be offered nudes of Jennifer Lawrence, Alana Blanchard, Victoria Justice, and others in exchange for nude pictures of his girlfriend. He emailed us about this, and then we lost touch. On Sunday, when a massive cache of nude pictures of celebrities hit the internet, we realized in retrospect that David had been dealing with someone who'd had access to at least part of that cache two weeks before it leaked, and a week before word of it had even begun to trickle out online.

Earlier today, David got in touch with us and agreed to share portions of the exchanges he'd had with Killan. Those exchanges are reproduced below, with some redactions.

It should be noted here that despite the implausible claims made by Killan in these exchanges, the best theory right now is that the flood of celebrity nudes is probably due to a trading ring being cracked—in other words, loosely affiliated hackers were swapping independently obtained pictures. Know more about "Jason Killan," who may or may not have been affiliated with this group, or about anyone else trading or selling these images well before they leaked out onto the broader internet? Let us know at [email protected].

I don't know how it works in the US but here in Oz, the same minor can be both the victim and the perpetrator. The act itself is not a crime - taking a photo of yourself (but obvs is not recommended) but that changes when that image is distributed (ie texted to someone) - regardless of who it is sent to.

The attached link is actually quite a good legal guide - for Australia anyhow. There are major campaigns here in Australian schools about responsible online behaviour - my 7yr old is starting to learn about it now - in first grade.

^^ I think it's the same. If you take it yourself and keep it to yourself on the original device, it's probably not illegal. If you let someone else see it, send it to someone or transmit it in any way (ie upload to the cloud), it's a violation.

I've been seeing these stories all over the Internet, and tonight it was reported on the news. I also saw where one of the Olympic gymnasts (from the 2012 gold medal team) had pics stolen that were taken when she was underage. All I keep thinking is, WHY THE HE!! DO ALL THESE PEOPLE HAVE NUDE PHOTOS OF THEMSELVES ON THEIR PHONES?! I know I have a bunch of pics on my phone and iPad - and I'm not nude in a single one! When Polaroid cameras were "the" thing to use for nude photos, I never took nude pics of myself. I don't understand it - is this a new "thing" or something? Take nude photos of yourself for posterity? I don't get why all these people are taking nude photos of themselves !

And I'm not blaming them for this - no one has the right to hack into anyone's phone or computer and steal anything, whether its pictures or passwords or personal information - I just don't understand how or why so many people are taking nude photos of themselves or photographing their sexual acts.
