When I was in-store yesterday, I was told they would take a reservation for this collection- any item. You fill out paperwork and give your cc- when the item is available, they ring it. But it is absolutely correct that it is no guarantee- the SA said at this point it is a wishlist- he said the list is already over-subscribed. So obviously SA's own loyal customers must have gotten first crack at this collection. BTW, I just walked in and never worked with the SA who helped me. I just went in to buy a GM agenda refill.

I was considering the Kirigami set and he was perfectly happy to take my information but he said the waitlist is pretty long. I feel it is better to go into the store to reserve an item from this collection- it is less likely you will get brushed off.

I wonder what the dimensions are. This looks like an updated leather version of the favorite mm kinda.
Yes, you're right! Didn't notice that until you pointed it out ....I thought it looked like LV's interpretation of the Chanel 19 with it's short chunky chain hand strap and enlarged LV logo (like the enlarged quilts on 19). Only info I recently found out is this bag won't be offered in the U.S....bummer

Wow, thanks for letting us know. It is what I suspected -- I called multiple times for one of the items and was told they were not taking preorders, and now when they are, they are already gone!! Thankfully I went thru an IG personal shopper and got mine reserved

Glad you were able to place a reservation.

Yes- I asked in a very nonchalant way about the collection- not pushy. I was very surprised how accommodating the SA was based on all that I have read here. I know it is not possible for some people to get into a boutique but unless you work with an SA, it really is better to go into the store when these new collections are available for pre-order. Or play the lottery online hoping you can get what you want.

I am starting to wonder if I should go through a personal shopper before items in the collection are sold out. I hate to do that before it even officially launches though. I have contacted my two CAs a long time ago and have checked in with them over time, but I still can’t preorder what I want.

They say things like that just to get people sign up, I was traveling went into a store at another state few days ago, I was asked to sign up wait list too, and saw the most was like 8 people had signed up on 1 of the collection, the others were like 4, 5. The SA wasn't nice to me, thought I was a newbee, lied to me and treated me like a fool thought could manipulate me into buying some expensive junks that are not selling well, of course I'm not going to sign up with her, if I wanted one I would had my own SA get one for me.

These SAs are so hungry for sale now, because why? because not as many people are buying in store nowadays I assume, and I'm sure they would eliminate some SAs if they don't reach their quota. If this particular SA was nice to me like the ones in my own store, I definitely would had bought something from her, instead, I will buy nothing from her and will be avoiding her like a plague if next time I walk into that store again.
