I think the new ivy is really cute but that buckle opening is a big nope :/

I agree. I really thought LV updated their Bel Air design with a magnetic closure (hence the extra little patch of leather where the metal LV logo is) but they kept it the same... Even if I could deal with a buckle closure, that strip of vachetta will show wear much quicker than the rest of the bag.

I have two vintage LV bags with buckle closures. I’m unsure why they’re still making them. At a minimum, the Ivy should have an external pocket for a phone.
