I think most of the people bidding on that monstrosity are hoping to give it as a gag gift. This bag is even creepier than those fox stoles that still have the fox faces and heads attached, teeth included.

I forgot about those! I think a lot of ladies had those in the 40s and 50s.

Lol, I got a giggle looking at that bag, it's one of those weird gifts you can give to someone with a sense of humour . It looks as if someone ran over the alligator over a handbag and this is the end result, hehe.
It definitely looks creepy and I don't think PETA would be too happy to see you wearing that around.

My grandma had a bag very similar - mini-gator head, feet and claws on the front of the bag, and tail on the backside! I'm sure it was very stylish in the 40s-50s, whenever, but I remember seeing it as a kid and going eeeeeeeew!
