Personally no I wouldn't do it. I would get in too much trouble with it.

I don't have a Macys realy close to me and if i did i don't think I'd shop there much because there prices are a bit too high.

I'll stick with my Bon Ton card, I get the extra 20% off anytime with my assoc. discount. LOL

I plan on canceling it right after I make my purchase at Macys (if i can get one and IF it's good on Coach).

Just be careful taking out a credit with macys, or any other store. Every time (doesn't matter if you're approved or not) you apply for a store credit, your credit score goes down 5 points. This is because its easier to get approved for one, and so many people abuse these privledges. In the long run, it may be cheaper to just use a regular cc, or cash.

I personally wouldn't get the card. I no longer have any store cards, and I pay off my credit cards in full every month. And as Karenmae1983 says, opening/applying for too many cards impacts your credit score.

  Not to mention, its more cards/accounts, etc to keep track of... So if you have store accounts & your car/house gets broken into or purse stolen, that's one more account you have to keep track,etc...

I used to have a bunch of store cards, and I paid them off & canceled them when I thought about the above fact.... Now, I've kind of gone back on that idea because I have a NM & Saks card :shame: , but I REALLY don't need anything else besides those... *repeat to self* :p
