@MyBelongs to Louis I ended up getting the cover and looking forward to being able to travel with it. I’ll update pics with the cover some day...I’m looking forward to all of the adventures the horizon will have and I agree the cover is clutch if you want a little added protection. I also picked up the bag holder, thanks to your photos.
You’re welcome :) I can’t wait to see your gorgeous reds together.

Travel is long overdue for me - I can’t wait to whisk off next year with my luggage  lol I’m sure we all feel it: 2021 can’t come soon enough!:drinks:

Not assuming anything about you. Those are my own expectations for handbags but shared my thoughts after reading many critical posts and comments of “it’s such a waste of money” over this model. I thought giving you an alternative perspective as a Horizon owner would give you a better balance of its pros and cons. If the price point and future repairs give you any anxiety, don’t buy it. Simple.

I usually don’t even bother responding to anyone uncertain about what they want, but thought you were serious and that it would be helpful to you. Good luck
Oh I am serious. Thanks for your input. I'm leaning towards a Pegase and ready to pull the trigger. Although it's more, the difference would be the same as the Horizon plus cover. Sounds like the Pegase doesn't need the cover which I would definitely purchase if I went the Horizon route....so.....in the long run, the cost is the same. Have read other places the Pegase holds up the way Mr Vuitton intended and why the longevity....sounds good to me.

My poor arms can’t handle luggage having 2 wheels - you can only pull it behind you at all times. The last time I had to drag one through the airport, for an overseas trip, my forearms felt like they were going to fall off. And that was alternating weight between my sore arms. A 360 degree spinning luggage is a total game changer for me, best innovation for modern day travellers.

Just something to consider with older models...

Yes! You're right! Oh dear. I stumbled on a Zephyr on Fashionphile in Damier Ebene with the 4 wheels...although 5 years old, it's in 'excellent' condition. I'm in no rush but at the same time I'm in the mood for one right now....why is that?

I have a 55 horizon for few years and I love the sleek look. After using it travel all over the world, it has various dings and scratches on the surface to prove it’s mileage. The first one hurts a little but later ones are whatever... I never gotten the cover for it until after several dings/ scratches. Lol. A bit too late. But I figure I can use the cover with other horizons that I’ll buy in the future...that’s how much I love the design. I also have a rimowa of the same size for when I go to countries that are a bit more... how shall I put it... challenging. It works perfectly as well. But I don’t feel as fabulous when pulling a rimowa.

Quick question: in what situations is everyone using their Horizon cover?
I’m considering the 55 and I’m wondering if the cover is necessary since the point of travelling with the LV luggage is being able for it to be seen. So I’m a bit unsure when the cover would be used unless it’s being checked in or travelling someplace you don’t want to draw attention (but maybe that’s when I leave the LV at home).
Would love to hear when you use the cover so I can decide to order it or not.
Thanks!

I would invest in the LV Horizon cover because it was designed for that specific shape/layout. The wide frame handles won't fit in the standard luggage covers. You could get a cheap $20 one but can't pull it around or actually travel with it on your Horizon in the protected phase.

The LV cover is durable coated canvas - similar to technical gear - and washable as well. Took some in detail pics for future reference if anyone wants to know what the Housse Horizon actually looks like on the luggage. My favourite part is how its full skeleton frame is covered and protected when closed up - what I worry about most is the metal frame, not the monogram body. But like all other LV travel items, expect nicks and bumps to happen and enjoy your beautiful LV items along the journey.

I use the cover anywhere that might scratch my luggage: through customs, emergency when you must check it, etc. That’s why I got mine, to never stress about my suitcase  It’s such a dream to wheel around, you’ll love it

Hello! I love the horizon and will definitely get the cover. One question, how do people travel with the cover? Do you put the cover on before going to the airport? Or do you put the cover on just before stowing in overhead? It seems a shame to trot through the airport with it all covered up!

I am getting the cover as well just to be safe, I had to check my Rimowa it came back awful. I am only putting mine on if I am asked to check it or going in a trunk with a million other luggages.

Some flights will make you check the carry-on right before boarding since it will not fit in the cabin.
