If you are concerned about these issues check out the Roulis/ Roulis mini. I think the design has many of the advantages of the Constance but is easier to get into and more under the radar.

+1. The mini roulis/roulis is a wonderful bag. Happy that it is under the radar. IFYKYK. Very simple to get into and out of with the flap but still secure when closed. If you are concerned about these issues check out the Roulis/ Roulis mini. Fully believe you - it was just same for me and the Orans 😂 I felt they has just a kind of graphic design. This might sound unbelievable, but I didn’t notice the “H” in Constance for a LONG while. To me the buckle is a design element of the bag. Once I realize the H I can’t unseen it.
I like my collection of Constance’s. The H obviously does not bother me. In fact, the H on the Evelyne bothers me more and I wear the Evelyne with the H inside.
That said, I have not added another Constance for a couple years because somehow it has become my most hated on bags by others. I don’t wear mine as much. But for the people who had said nasty things to me about the Cs, I can arrange it that they always see me with one from now on.
I personally don’t find the buckle difficult. It gets easier with practice and usage. The C24 fits a lot of stuff and is super practical although the C18 looks better on me.
I have thought it a shame that H does not make a Constance large enough to fulfil a messenger bag function; but something would need to be done about the strap design; I don't see why it cannot be a long strap that runs through the fittings andadjusted by a buckle.
Unfortunately, the world has come to that. At first, I switched to other more under the radar items. But then I realized that the problem is totally on their side.Wow, people said nasty things to you directly about your Constance? How unfortunate. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
I agree…( switched out my H belt for the new little horsey, evie H goes inward, Birkin hard gets attention) but then I tried on the royal loafer in a unique color way. I said no because of H and then went back and bought them a week later. 🥹 I have a tiny foot. They fit so cute. Had to get them. I originally wanted a Constance but don’t know anymore because I probably wouldn’t wear it.I barely wear my C18s out anymore for the same reason. I don't like it when people recognize my bags and do not like the attention it attracts. Also, both my C18s are with shiny hardware so that's even worse. I feel like the new brushed hardware would tone it down a little bit. I usually wear most of my H bags facing inward to avoid this. Either that, or I'd opt for my Bolide or Clic 16 bag. In hindsight, I shouldn't have bought two C18s, but at the time(when the prices were at the highest), I liked them a lot. (that completely changed in a one-year time period) I do not have any other items with the H, and do not plan on getting any. I don't do Orans (or any footwear with the H), blankets, pillows, RTW, home goods, or costume jewelry. I find them to be tacky.
I had some young girl ask me if I was rich when she saw my Birkin 25. I said excuse me. She again asked, you have that bag you must be rich. I told her no, I just work really hard. 🤷🏻♀️Unfortunately, the world has come to that. At first, I switched to other more under the radar items. But then I realized that the problem is totally on their side.
The Constance H happens to be more infuriating than a B25 or Kelly somehow. Now I will be the shallow, pretentious b!tch that they call me wearing my Constance! These are just some examples of the adjectives. But frankly, I am not going to change.
