Yep. I'm giving the new leather another chance. And yes, mine is smooth (the way I wanted this particular bag to be). Here's a pic. (Not mine, she's still hanging out on the plane or at the airport somewhere. She might get here tomorrow, if I'm lucky, otherwise it'll be next week.)

oh yeah I am excited for this one - my SA had two, one '08 super smooth and one '09 moderately distressed - both were very deep and dark - I chose the '09 because of the distressing I prefer - it will be here by noon!!!
Giving the 09ers a fighting chance, huh? I think you will love it. Yours looks particularly soft. I've got to say, that I have two 09 bags (Granny and Officier), and though I love them, they are not on the same pedastool as my older bags. IDK what it is... I keep telling myself they need to be broken-in, but I'm having a hard time waiting for that to happen. It seems like the 09 Blacks are a different case, I love all the ones I have seen; and if I could fathom having two black Citys, I would.
