I've been hesitant to bring this exact subject up - gold and silver bags make me feel tacky - I suppose if I could afford metallic Paddington or Balenciaga, I would get over it - but since that is not an option and I do believe metallic is the trendiest thing to come along in quite a while - I am just not buying one - I have a few magnificent bags I can't see opting for metallic on any given day.

Pink, just cos it's my favorite color and I have a lot of pink clothes in my wardrobe :D I also think camel/tan is an essential bag color. Not sure if that would fit under the brown category, it probably does.

Yes ! I was just about to write pink, pink and more pink !

I also like having a nice bright blue, just cause it seems like such a cheerful colour. Think kind of an azure, lapis lazuli kind of blue. But then again, I'm still in school so I don't quite have to dress so seriously yet so this may not be the best call on professional looking bags. :embarasse

hmmmm
black, a white (from cream to vanilla), a brown, a blue (from navy to baby blue .. a denim could replace this color catagory), a tan/camel, maron (dark blood red).
I feel that if you are going to get an expensive bag you should get on ethat is timeless in color and shape ... it is too much money to throw away on a bag that will go out of style in a few months .. I always think in terms of my daughter ... she is almost 3 years old now but I always have her in mind when I buy something this expensive ... I buy a bag .. i use it .. i buy another one so the old one gets wiped, wrapped in its bag, and put away for my daughter to use when she is older ... something like an LV monogram or a burberry classic will never go out of style and will always be "in" .. try to always put that in mind ....
for instance ... i really liked the metalic chloe paddington .. but I will get the chocolate brown or tan instead ... I would believe my daughter wouldnt be caught dead carrying a metalic bag 15 years from now while she would be proud to carry a timeless gucci or a vintage rolex ....... think about it :) .. they are going to take all your stuff anyway right? hahaha

Time to get back in on this discussion: I have a fabulous LV (bot in Paris this year with those mini logos) a vintage burberry (purchased in London about 20 years ago, hardly touched and classic in style.) the "street chic" Christian Dior in black, a white leather Prada, a new black Chanel, a new BE &D Crawford cruise, an IF "Audra" and a few others a bit less important - so what is missing that is somewhat affordable? Forget Paddington. I appreciate all the feedback - I don't see myself with a red or pink bag - don't know why.
