Colored E-rings!

oh, i'm so jealous - i wanted a colored stone engagement ring, but my darling said something to the effect that if he was going to spend that much money on a ring he wanted everyone to know what it meant. which i suppose simply translates to 'sorry honey, but i have a deep-seated testostorone driven need to mark my territory.' sigh.

I have a Ceylon sapphire & diamond anniversary ring that I wear like an E-ring on occasion (I have a plain band that I wear with it).

My anniversary ring is a princess cut sapphire surrounded by 10 diamonds, and 28 small diamonds w/ 6 medium diamonds on the band.

Beautiful rings ladies! After seeing all the beautiful rings here, now I'm debating whether to get a colored stone for my 15th anniversary or upgrade my diamond. Hmmmm....a tough one.

Ohhh- you have no idea how much work it took me to convince mine that a sapphire was what I wanted and ok for an e-ring. He was stuck in the same mindset- and thought people would judge him for being cheap if he went with anything but a diamond. It took me, his mom, and his mom's bf to convince him it was the way to go. Now . . . he loves it and admits that he's glad I talked him into it! One week to go until I have it in hand- even though we're not getting engaged until August.
