Saw a mini coco handle in the 23k pink. I didn’t like the size of the small
On me (5’ 2”) but the mini was really cute. The only issue I have is it’s kind of small so I’m not sure if it’s worth the money. Does any owner of the mini (extra mini) or small (old mini) have any thoughts they could share? Here is a pic of the mini!

The mini Coco Handle is super cute but I didn’t buy it because of practicality. I think the Coco Handles are still relatively good price compared to some other bags.

I just a bath on an excellent small coco handle I only carried once. 50% loss. Not sure why I accepted that. Ugh. FP is just not the best venue, unless they’re all equally bad.

I bought an extra mini with chain detail on handle in June of this year. I had been looking for the small size but when I tried that on I found the handle sat too close under my chest, got in the way and it just didn’t work on my body (I’m 5’4 average weight). I like to wear my bags crossbody so it just didn’t work for me. I also felt in that size it looked too much like a work bag on me (in black at least which is my preferred colour).
I tried on the extra mini and immediately felt more comfortable wearing it crossbody however it’s also very small and barely fits anything. Mainly due to the divider inside which is annoying as without that it would fit quite a lot I think. It was I think over £5000 so very expensive. But rare for Chanel nowadays it’s caviar leather which was the clincher for me as well as the classic and cute look and top handle so I took it. Since then I’ve felt I should sell it as it’s so expensive and due to it not fitting much, the back pocket in particular is awkward to get my phone in and out.

However it is so aesthetic and cute I can’t bring myself to part with it. And although it fits little ( I mean it does fit the essentials - iPhone 11, AirPods, keys, slim Chanel card holder, work pass in divider inside and a very small lipgloss) I find vibe wise it makes a perfect every day bag. It suits any occasion- work, casual, day and night. Short walks in a park or to local cafe, equally going to the office as the handle makes it look work officious! But the size also makes it cute for weekend and date nights/dinners/events.

And importantly to me, it’s Chanel clearly, but to me not as flashy and obvious as my medium classic flap so I feel comfortable with it and secure that I can wear it crossbody and cover it when on public transport, it’s discreet. It’s also just so ladylike and cute, it’s adorable. The medium flap is more chic and serious probably but I don’t want to feel super serious every day! Would have probably liked it slightly bigger like a size in between extra mini and mini but then I guess it might lose its cuteness. It’s a keeper for me.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! This was super helpful for me and I think it will be for others who have the same exact question in the future! Similar to you I ended up going with the extra mini and I loveeee it so much! I tend to put my wallet little pouch full of my keys AirPod lip balm a small mirror and a small sample perfume and it fits well. I tend to put whatever 2 cards i am using most that day in the back pocket and carry my phone! Here are a couple not so great pics of me holding my bag!

Thank you for this detailed review as I am debating adding a coco handle to my handbag collection and it was super helpful! Mine is arriving Monday 11/27 from Fashionphile in a caramel brown color, which is a handbag color I lack (but is so needed??) in a handbag collection! I’ll post pictures / mod shots in this forum for others in a similar boat when it comes in.

Ah thanks I’m glad I could be of some help to others! Caramel brown is a really useful neutral colour to have! As for mine I’m still decided to keep it, as although I still think it’s small and awkward to get things in and out of, I haven’t found a more every day, as versatile bag for me personally in terms of style. It’s the first Chanel bag I’ve had which I can grab without needing to think about- I know it will suit whatever occasion or outfit, and it’s a sturdy little bag in the caviar so I’m not afraid to use it! Hope it works out for you!

I regret buying the mini first — it’s super cute and light so I love looking at it. But compared to my regular small, it’s just not practical — I can’t even put in my coin purse… and I am not a type of person who likes to put in credit cards in a bag without a wallet or coin purse. if I could do this again, I would have bought a small size first and call it a day at the time…
