This is my Coccinelle Dallas from 2007. I really like her thick leather. It's a nice bag with very good quality. It's worth buying it.

This brand is quite popular in Italy. I love this model

I believe it is one of their classic models and it comes in different sizes and colors. Must really make up my mind about it

I love love love Coccinelle bags. I had never heard of them and bought one in a little shop (not coccinelle branded) near the Spanish Steps in Rome on sale in January 2000. I'd never seen them before in Australia and had never heard of them.

The shop assistant was doing the hard sell telling me it was a really good italian brand and I said to her, never heard of them but love the bag and so I'll take it. It's been 9 years and it's a bit scratched but still totally functional and it has been through a lot.

Little did I know that my $150AUD (approx 75 euros or 100 USD) was such a bargain. About a year later I saw the same bag in a department store in Australia for $1000AUD.

Ever since I have been longing to find some more and it is only recently with my partner living in the Czech Republic where there is a shop and yoox.com and forzieri.com that I have rediscovered the bags.

My newest purchase is this one from yoox: http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?sec=1&...E164&rr=1&cod10=451147431K&sts=sr_salewomen80

It arrived this morning and I love it.

I have also had my eye on the Osaka Shine in purple http://www.forzieri.com/usa/product...&id_valore3=&id_valore4=183&id_valore5=&c=usa for the last 6 months. I hear it is on sale in Europe but still not on forzieri.com :( I haven't seen it in real life so it is a little daunting to buy it at that price without really seeing it.

Does anyone else on the forum have either of these two bags.

Also, does anyone know the store I mean that used to be near the Spanish Steps? It wasn't branded Coccinelle but sold it. Unfortunately the list of stores provided by Coccinelle is not complete - for example they have stores in Brno in the Czech Republic and are stocked by David Jones in Australia but these are not included on their list.

Vida from Milan, do you still work for Coccinelle - if so, do you know when the spring summer catalogue will be released and put on the website.

Also, do sale items normally get reduced further or are they just one off reductions and then revert to usual price?

I have a Coccinelle bag that I receieved as a birthday present a few years back. Its so pretty! It is a semi circle shape and a lovely peachy pink color.

I found out about Coccinelle from my mother-in-law (she's Italian) when she gave me a nice silver and leather keychain from the brand. She told me that Coccinelle started making small leather goods a long time ago before venturing into citybag business. I bought my handbag a few years ago and I love it. It is soft and durable and really different! Paid about
$700

Id be grateful to hear your opinions of this brand of handbags if you have purchased them.

thanks
I have bought 3 purses this year from Coccinelle because I loved their design and quality. They are expensive and supposedly come with a 2 year warranty. I used my last purchase for 2 weeks and the stitching on the zipper started coming undone. I stopped using it immediately and wrote to the company and this is what they said:

"We would like to confirm that our quality department did not identify a production fault on this bag, on the contrary this particular stiching problem could be accidentally caused while wearing the bag. Warranty includes production defects that come out after buying, but according to our repairers this is not the case. Unfortunately we are unable to offer you assistance on this matter." COCCINELLE SPA

This is their response after I used the bag 2 weeks only! They don't consider stitching a product fault! What doesn't have stitching on it...clothes, bags, etc... So disappointed with the company!

My first "real" bag was from Coccinelle, a gift from my mom when I was 19 or so. It's a black leather bag, very simple, kinda hobo style. It's not the most practical I own, I always have to take it off my shoulder to open and close it since there isn't much space between the handle and the actual body of the bag, but I still really like it. It fits a ton, I tend to use it just in the winter but for being at least 8 years old it looks in really nice conditions.
Coccinelle is a quite popular brand here in Italy. Their bags have been a little bit overpriced in the last few years, in my opinion, but they're nice quality (at least the leather ones). Mine was around the 200 euros mark, now I guess it would cost more.

I bought a Best crossbody in the beginning of this summer. It's turned out to be an amazing little bag! The leather is lush, and after several weeks of use it's started to get even softer and slouch a bit. Not to the point of sagging, though. The craftsmanship is beautiful and details gorgeous - my only complaint is about the "COCCINELLE" foil stamping. It's starting to show signs of wear. Other than that, there's nothing about the bag that would have me NOT recommending the Best and Coccinelle to anyone who's ready to pay a very reasonable price for a great bag!

And you can find them on sale, which is always a good thing! There's an outlet where I go from time to time and there's a Coccinelle store, they have some nice simple bags that can cost under 100 euros. A bit hit and miss because of the colors/styles, but I always take a look :)

So right! I found mine in a sale for -40%. And, because the brand is starting to get more popular, the second hand market is getting more and more lively all the time. :smile1:

Seems like this is the most recent thread I can find on Coccinelle. Their newest bag, the Arlettis, seems so gorgeous. It's too bad they don't seem very popular on TPF; I'd love to hear more about it!
