I've been watching the Rouge's pretty carefully on eBay. There are definitely deals there. They go fast. I saw a Reg Rouge for for $450. A butterscotch go for $450. A mineral go for $480. And I got my lovely Cornflower blue - in perfect condition for $450.
The Felix black rogue appears to be back in stock at the moment.
I ordered the Felix wristlet for my daughter and was a little disappointed to find that Felix is just painted on not embossed like Mickey and the other characters Coach has put on their items. It seems to me that with use the paint could possibly start wearing off and I can also see the sequins getting caught on things and coming off because of this. Does anyone else feel this way?
Yes, I totally agree with your observations. I had so many reservations about the graphics application, size and sequins that I exercised restraint (which is not easy for me!) and passed entirely on the Felix line. I think the images are darling but the execution was just not in line with the price. I also was tempted by the bag charm and necklace but I am afraid both will be heavy and not be used in the long run. Oh well, I am sure there will be temptation in the future.
I was so excited for the Felix line to come out too. I assumed that it would be similar to items offered in the Disney and peanuts line.
The wristlet was the only thing they came out with in Felix that I thought would be practical for my daughter but even that disappointed. When I opened up the box there was also a very strong chemically smell. It's obviously the paint they used for Felix as the wristlet has that strong smell too.
When I was at my boutique yesterday some sort of district manager came in and dropped off a white Felix rogue. I would have loved to buy it, but I didn't want to spend that much. I'm sure it's gone already!
I know the feeling -- after shelling out for this beauty, I will not spend another $250 for the Bag Charm.
So until I find the perfect or a less pricey Charm, I'm recycling my Snoopy, Schroeder and Mickey Profile hang tags -- I figured I'd use the theme of cartoon characters, plus all three hangtag are black and chalk color combos. I had thought about just getting a cheapo bendable Felix the Cat keychain to use as a charm, but it would cheapen the look of this bag, I think.
Anyway, here's how the hangtags currently look -- I haven't yet worn the bag.
