Hello, I have been out of the purse market for a few years now and have just started buying coach handbag and boots (a few). After I have spent so much money I now discovered on the internet Coach Studiolego and the prices are amazing! Is this a legitimate website? I was going to buy several items over the weekend and when I tried to check out it said "failed". I know my credit card is good and I tried 3 times but each time it said failed. I even tried a second time. There is no phone number to call - only email and since it was the weekend (I did this Friday evening) maybe they were closed. But I am worried now and hoping this is not a scam and they got my credit card info.

Call your credit card company IMMEDIATELY and cancel your current number - explain that you think you used your card at a phony website selling counterfeits probably located in China and you want to block all charges under the current number
DO IT NOW.

Did you check Google or any other major site for additional information before ordering? Any legitimate site should have more than just item listings. I usually Google " (website name) problems complaints" to get an idea of a company or site history.

Here's the Scamadvisor page:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/salearea-guides.983575/#post-32194035
and
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/studiolego.com

And here's what I get no matter which "coachlego" page I try to access:
Server not found
Pale Moon can't find the server at www.studiolego.com.

MAKE THAT CALL NOW AND TELL THEM YOU WANT TO REPORT A POSSIBLE FRAUD.

Any time a website just disappears like that, there's something wrong. I can pull up a Cached page on Google but there aren't even any photos on the page.

I just called the credit card company and blocked the number and they will issue me a new card. Yes, I was really, really stupid. I have not purchased a handbags in a long time and went into the coach store and went a little crazy. I bought two bags at full price and then ordered 2 boots at full price and 2 on sale. Got them, love them, and everything is fine. So now I am into handbags again and they are on my mind big time! There were 2 more bags that I wanted but were no longer available. So I got on eBay to look and then I came across this Coach Studio Lego website on the internet - right under the official Coach website - and they had the two bags that I wanted and though I knew I shouldn't buy anything else for a while - the prices were so low...a sale it said and so I placed my order. My transaction said "failed" and I tried a couple of times but each time it said "failed" though they did have all my information now. I tried to call and there was no number on their website, just an email which I did and have not heard back. I know I should have checked this all out before ordering but it looked just like the Coach website but maybe a Coach outlet, I thought.

Anyway, thank you for your replies and help. I have learned a lesson and feel really, really stupid. I certainly won't do this again!!

Hyacinth,

Originally I googled Coach and then under Coach official website was Coach Studiolego. Now when I google Coach this other website does not come up so I don't know how it did before. But if I google Coach Studio Lego - there are a few that come up.

Thank you again.

It depends on what words you search with Google. If you use "studiolego coach" you get about 30 entries, all individual links for different styles. But none of the links are active, every one brings up the "... can't find the server at www.studiolego.com" message. I'm surprised you were even able to start the order process. It's hard to tell what's actually going on with the site or who is in control of it. The only way I was able to access any pages was by pulling up Google's Cached pages and even those were only links with no photos, at least in my browser.

The low prices should have been a red flag though - here's just one example that I copied from the description in one of the Google listings: "Coach – metropolitan map bag in signature coated canvas Men's Map Bags Black Antique Nickel/Charcoal. $ 375.00 $ 118.75". Even with the Coach Outlets fake and inflated MSRP prices stamped on their tags, you're not going to be able to buy something with a marked $375 retail for $118.75 FROM A THIRD-PARTY SELLER. That's less than a THIRD of the original marked price. Not only do I doubt that anyone could buy that bag at that price in the outlet store, but there's no way a third-party seller could stay in business selling items with that pricing structure for those numbers. Coach does NOT sell at additional discounts to 3rd party sellers. And they are definitely NOT going to sell to an unknown 3rd party who advertises "Cheap Coach Bags" in every listing.

ETA - Here's another example of "red flag" pricing. "Coach – saddle 23 in glovetanned leather with tea rose. Women's Crossbody Bags Dark Gunmetal/Black. $ 695.00 $ 173.15." The cheapest Saddle 23 Tea Rose on ebay lists at $299 and prices go up to $625. There's no way anyone would or could sell a genuine one for that $173.75 price. (And there's also a red flag because of a trademark violation. I found a page of the site's photos on Google and at least one that I looked at included Coach's "Carriage" emblem in the photo. Under US law no one can use Coach's trademarks or graphics without Coach's consent. And they only give consent to their authorized retail partners like Macy's, Dillard's, etc.)

No one should EVER buy designer items from any 3rd party or unaffiliated website without doing a thorough analysis of the site and checking WHOIS.net for a thorough search of where the site is actually located and who owns it. I'll personally also check Google for the site name plus "fakes problems" to see if there are any posts about either of those issues. The ONLY safe thing to do is to automatically assume that ALL those websites are selling fakes until proven otherwise beyond any doubt AND checking here before buying..

I had spent so much money that I was feeling guilty but there were still two bags at the store that I really wanted but they were sold out and are no longer available at Coach online either. So (late at night) I went on eBay and searched and then I put in just the item name on google and that's how Coach Studiolego came up. I was shocked at the prices - and really excited! Ha, ha!! There is a Coach outlet 30-40 minutes from me and I thought I might go there and look. I know that their prices are cheaper than the store (boutique). So when I saw the Coach Studiolego page I just thought great, must be some discount place - as I have heard TJ Max also has Coach purses. The pages all look legit - they look just like Coach website pages only the prices are slashed. So I ordered and it let me go through the whole process; name, address, email and then credit card info. It wasn't till I clicked on "place order" that the reply came up "failed". So I tried a second, maybe even a third time thinking I had put in the wrong info. No phone number to call only an email address. I contacted them via email and have not gotten a response yet. I think I did this Friday night. Yes, I worried all weekend and that's why I posted here yesterday.

Here is just one of the links: http://www.studiolego.com/pc/coach-bags/satchels/
I don't think anyone on purse forum would be duped but those not so knowledgeable (like me) might fall for it. Too bad they're on the internet. Maybe they're fake Coach purses made in China, who knows.

Well, don't want to go on and on about this - I'm sure it's boring to anyone reading this. It was an experience for me, scary and a lesson learned for sure! I appreciate your reply and I called and my cc is blocked and I won't get a replacement for about 7 days. I'm sure my husband is happy about this!

It's a huge pain in the backside to have to put a Stop on a credit card, but it beats the alternative! Just remember that except for major retailers like the ones I mentioned and the big names like Harrod's in the UK and major department stories in a few other countries, there are NO other sellers authorized to sell Coach products or to use their photos, descriptions or graphics. If any site claims otherwise, check here in the Coach Shopping forum, or at the main forum here for non-Coach items under "Bags Bags Bags" and there will be an "Authenticate This Website" thread.
