Hi sorry for the delayed response; it seems I don't get quote notifications anymore. The wristlet attachment is just one piece it will not open to allow you to hook it to both ends. I think that's why they included a longer strap.

I haven't seen them IRL but they've been getting good reviews from tpfers. I don't think anyone has said anything bad about the quality. There is quite a bit of price difference between the Dakotah and the Prairie. Maybe the price reflects the quality?

I have the light blue whipstitch Dahotah from the initial release. I really like it. It's size is deceiving- you'd think it wouldn't hold a lot, but I can fit my everyday needs in it with no problems! The leather is so soft, too. I think I posted pics somewhere. I'll see if I can find them!

I just picked up a large black (w/ the side trim) dakotah and the leather is thick and soft and perfect- maybe some of the best leather I've seen from Coach in a while (if you like thick, soft and perfect as descriptors for your leather!). I'm usually not a fringe girl, but for all this lucious leather, I've made an exception. ;)

I'm looking at the small or mini. I definitely like the pebbled leather so my choices are limited at this point. Agree with you on the leather!
