I completely and utterly agree. I know I'm only looking at photos, but the leather I've felt from Coach since I became interested a couple of years ago is so thin. And some are so trendy that my cost per wear would be too high to justify the bag. I get a bit lightheaded with these prices.

Up close the texture on the bandanna bags looks cheap. I'm still getting the feeling that they are doing more of this to avoid having to make things out of nicer, more expensive, leather. Too bad, because I like the shapes.

SV seems to be doing a lot of new printed, textured bags.
They have a coated canvas look, or at best textured saffiano leather.
Not good for someone like myself who loves the nice thick leathers of the older bags.

Similar thoughts on Coach leather...went to Macy's today and felt all the new bags they had including the new ones just out. The leather IMO looked and felt like plastic...seems like when they stopped doing the creed they pretty much gave up on attention to detail and enduring quality leather...wondering if there is any relationship.

Still hanging in there but thinking Coach's current direction isn't for me. :nogood:  :rain:

Although some of the first SV bags grew on me - Dakotahs and first Rhyders - these neon and plastic are simply hideous. Not the "back to their roots" classic, timeless, chewy leather I was hoping for.
I don't think Vevers needs to go back to the drawing board...I think he needs to go work the outlet stockroom.

So if no one has seen the rhyders at the outlet, then I assume that the design was a success.
Not necessarily. They made so many different sizes and colors that I would be surprised if none of them ended up at the outlet eventually. They may decide to wait longer before sending Vevers stuff to the outlet. If it is true that they didn't make a huge quantity like they did of items in the past, then even if they get deleted, the outlets won't be flooded with them.

I kind of regret not buying the burgundy suede when I first saw it. I was waiting to see what else was coming out.

I saw the suede at Macy's in the past week or so - 25% & 20% off. I don't see it on their website right now, but styles reappear from day to day. The Rhyders didn't do well - at least in CA Macy's - so you may be able to find one.
