Is the tribal cosmetic case supposed to have an odd angle to it? Look at the pattern just below the zipper. It's like, one "notch in the pattern down", it's considerably lower on the left side than on the right side.

Is it supposed to be a tilted outside pocket or something? :confused1:

It looks like the print isn't aligned symmetrically on the front of the bag.

That annoys me! It's like when they don't match plaids at the seams.

Well, no offense, Coach, but that's a pretty *big* mis-alignment. It's not just 'a little' off. The eye is naturally drawn to the long line that runs along the top of the yellow, and that's significantly tilted. It even throws the black sections off at the bottom corners.

You know, this past weekend, my Sunday school class made little construction paper Christmas trees. One child made one that tilted almost comically. At the time, it made me think of a Charlie Brown tree. Or maybe the Grinch's tree. .... Now it kind of reminds me of this.

And of course, my students are 3 years old. That does not say good things. :-/ :-/

I hope this bag comes in black and/or brown.

Up close the texture on the bandanna bags looks cheap. I'm still getting the feeling that they are doing more of this to avoid having to make things out of nicer, more expensive, leather. Too bad, because I like the shapes.

SV seems to be doing a lot of new printed, textured bags.
They have a coated canvas look, or at best textured saffiano leather.
Not good for someone like myself who loves the nice thick leathers of the older bags.

I agree. That is one of the things I like about Coach, and why I don't find Kate Spade or Michael Kors appealing. I just find all of their bags to be relatively the same all of the time (and with a leather that is unappealing), whereas I like Coach's variety while using great leather. So if Coach doesn't continue to use much of the nicer leather, I would be bummed.

I have to agree. What is it with designers and dang saffiano leather? At least have an offering of bags in 'regular' leather instead of only saffiano. There are several bags from other designers that I would have been all over had they been made in smooth or pebble leather rather than saffiano.

+1 Or at least in leather that looks like leather. Saffiano leather may be leather, but it sure doesn't look like it

Exactly. It may be as Whateve says, they are using different leather to economize. They still seem to want to offer the lower priced bags which is fine.

I hope they continue to use nicer leather, at least in the higher priced bags though.
If not I'll just consider myself lucky to have a lot of the nicer leather bags in my collection.
