Heh, yeah. I'm thinking of where hubby works. ...... Umm, no.

So I did a little more googling last night before we actually turned in. In all honesty, at this point I don't think I could bring myself to get any of Baseman's work anyway. If for no other reason than I saw a few of his pictures that are just "too" wrong. (Which ones? The dog and cat pinata's with blood, bowels, and skeletons being removed? I don't even have dogs or cats, but that just trips my "ugh meter". Just wayyy too close to reality for me.) I think that put up a mental block I wouldn't be able to tear down even if I tried. :-/ .... No biggie, I have mental blocks like that on a few other famous designers as well.

That said, I like the pastels, but not really any of the spring styles shown thus far. Eh ... there'll be more coming. .... I'll probably still get a Fendi bug though.
.

I've never been a fan of Baseman's. His stuff is not for me. Enough said! LOL :D

The Fendi bugs are cute--I don't think I would buy one, but I did like the wallets. ;)

What bums me out about a lot of the bags is that they have that one long strap. One of the key reasons I started to love Coach bags is that they typically have some sort of satchel or shoulder strap and an optional crossbody strap (that comes off).

I can't stand bags with the one long strap, as I never carry my bags that way, and there are no other options. It is one of the reasons I quit buying Fossil a while back once I switched to Coach (along with the fact that Coach has more fun styles).

So, seeing these bags make me feel sad. I have already expressed that I didn't care for the creature bags, but to add to that, I don't care how much they cost--if I carried one most people would think I picked up the bag at Walmart or TJ Maxx or something. I don't think anyone would have respect for the bag as a high end bag.
I'm a shoulder bag person. I've gotten satchels but I prefer shoulder bags. For me, a crossbody strap only works for smaller bags. The larger bags with crossbody straps are too heavy for me and dig into my shoulder. I love the width of these shoulder straps; they look very comfortable. I'm happy to see all these shoulder bags but I'd prefer an option to be able to double the strap and make it shorter, like the Legacy duffle strap.

Like the light orange leather jacket and matching leather skirt. The shoes are not for me. Nether are the animal caricatures, seems targeted for tweens.

I don't care at all if someone "recognizes" my bag as Coach. I carry them because *I* love them, not for anyone else, and especially not so someone else will notice and admire the brand. If someone thinks I got it at Target, good for them...not an issue for me.

I totally get how some people aren't into the creatures...if we all liked the same thing the world would be pretty boring. And...that just leaves more creature bags and freaky stuff for me!! :graucho:

I guess I see those super long straps in some of the pics as crossbody instead of shoulder. I am not really in to the long straps. I rarely use the optional long straps on the bags I have. But definitely it would have helped to be able to shorten those straps versus being as long as they are.

I am glad you like them! I don't really care about the status of the bag--I meant more that the bags don't appear to match their high price point in my mind.

I don't do crossbody well. I feel like I always have to rearrange the bag to hang just right. I don't really care for super-long straps, but a bag designed to be handheld or carried on my arm is a bag I would rarely carry. I have to be hands free. I don't want to have to put the bag down in order to use my hands. A short shoulder strap is more comfortable because the bag doesn't swing around and bang into me, and it seems more secure from purse snatchers and pickpockets.

That's the way I look at it too. If I'm going to spend 100's of dollars for a leather bag, I want it to look like quality...not like it came out of a store like Hot Topic.

That being said, I do like the blindfolded bunny, he would make a great fob...and maybe cute on some accessories...

+1 LOL. I am on team Canderson and willing to help you out by leaving all the creatures for you girl!!

I think it is great that you carry what you love! You are completely correct in that we would all be incredibly boring if we were the same.

This collection is making me think of the Coyote (from Roadrunner) meets Donny Darko rabbit. I'm interested in seeing some more, but wouldn't mind the one of the creatures on a pink wristlet or maybe even a blue tote.
