What in God's green earth is all this!? I just don't know about this direction, I think someone took the wrong turn at Albuquerque.

On another note- does this mean bell bottom/flare jeans are back!?!??! Because I am so DONE with frickin' skinny jeans!

LOL@ the wrong turn at Albuquerque!!:lolots: .... I have been in that exact spot countless times on my way to Santa Fe...

YES...I am going to be so glad to see those skinny jeans take a hike!

Lastly....I LOVE the spring line so far....the bags are so different ....I see several already I would own...

I do think that the totes are really cool however and could be used for weekends and frankly even for work if it is not a formal meeting. I have a high-pressure professional job and I would use the tote and own the look proudly.:D

Same...I would totally carry that to the office, and the people I work with wouldn't bat an eye because...it's me.

personally I love it, I feel like a lot of you commenting about how much you hate it don't really understand the concept of nyfw and the eccentricity that surrounds these shows. These bags will be a mere 10% of the entire collection, so before everyone starts throwing tantrums why don't you wait and see for yourself. And for those saying that they "copied" other brands, I do see the inspiration from celine hermes and valentino, but brands like kate spade, mk, and RM do this all the time, just like one of RM's newest bags is a complete knockoff of the chanel boy bag....

Yes, I was going to comment but you did it for me...lol...designers knock off each other and certain characteristics...and of course, this is an extreme vision of the spring line...the overall look is way too young for me, but if I were in my 20's, I would be "into" some of it...except I'd have no money!

I'm sure we'll see the more "staid and sane" bags at some point...but I like a lot of this, bagwise..

I wonder if they think those creatures are going to sell because Fendi's bag bugs are such a big hit.

Actually, I think you're right on target with that. Longchamp apparently tried it too. I was just glancing through the Lonchamp board and for those who didn't already know, check this out .... http://thebaghagdiaries.com/paris-fashion-week-longchamp-fw-2014-15/ ...... Scroll halfway down for their monster bags. That can't possibly be a coincidence, and yeah, I suspect both are attempts to chase Fendi.

(Ironically, only two weeks ago I was looking at those bugs at Nordstrom, and told hubby I intended to get a bug soon. I guess I can do fluffy, just not slimey. )

Actually those are kind of cute. I can see it on a Le Pliage. They are just nylon and not terribly expensive. I can be more playful with a fabric bag than a leather bag. I got one for my daughter for school and it fell apart in less than a year. She would never carry one like that; she had to have a black one like everyone else.

I just saw this article about how monster tees are appropriate for work: http://thezoereport.com/tee-shirt-workwear-2014/?slide=1

If we read it on the internet, it must be true!

I saw these Longchamp bags--they freak me out! These are definitely not my speed!! :p

Hmmmm, maybe in a creative office but not at my office--corporate HQ of a conservative company. :smile1:

It might be interesting to see my boss' face if I showed up in one though. :roflmfao:

Heh, yeah. I'm thinking of where hubby works. ...... Umm, no.

So I did a little more googling last night before we actually turned in. In all honesty, at this point I don't think I could bring myself to get any of Baseman's work anyway. If for no other reason than I saw a few of his pictures that are just "too" wrong. (Which ones? The dog and cat pinata's with blood, bowels, and skeletons being removed? I don't even have dogs or cats, but that just trips my "ugh meter". Just wayyy too close to reality for me.) I think that put up a mental block I wouldn't be able to tear down even if I tried. :-/ .... No biggie, I have mental blocks like that on a few other famous designers as well.

That said, I like the pastels, but not really any of the spring styles shown thus far. Eh ... there'll be more coming. .... I'll probably still get a Fendi bug though.

What bums me out about a lot of the bags is that they have that one long strap. One of the key reasons I started to love Coach bags is that they typically have some sort of satchel or shoulder strap and an optional crossbody strap (that comes off).

I can't stand bags with the one long strap, as I never carry my bags that way, and there are no other options. It is one of the reasons I quit buying Fossil a while back once I switched to Coach (along with the fact that Coach has more fun styles).

So, seeing these bags make me feel sad. I have already expressed that I didn't care for the creature bags, but to add to that, I don't care how much they cost--if I carried one most people would think I picked up the bag at Walmart or TJ Maxx or something. I don't think anyone would have respect for the bag as a high end bag.
