They remind me of the Everlane and whatcamacallit leather tote bags that all the hipster blogger ladies like. Going for the younger generation that wouldn't be caught dead wearing their mother's mass-market brand, Coach? I'm sure that will work out well for you.

Ironically, in those circles I see a lot of girls wearing vintage or the Classic Coach bags. I wish Coach would just stick with their own style than try and catch the trendy market.

Completely agree. I saw the totes - and had the Preston in the same stripe (which I immediately returned). The "coated canvas" is a huge disappointment. Mine came with many creases - and unlined (the Preston) - only a piece of liner with the slip pocket. IMO, it looked like an inexpensive beach bag... and when I returned it to the boutique (I'd ordered from JAX before they were released) - at least 5 SA's looked at it sitting on the counter - and said "beach bag???"

That's disappointing! I was going to order the black/white stripe large Preston this week. Sounds like I wouldn't like it. Thanks for the info as I have not seen any coated canvas bags yet.

Thank you so much for this information-I was going to order this bag, but now I think I'll go for something else instead. Doesn't sound like it's something I'll be interested in.
