Thank you everyone for all the well wishes for my Skewtur. I really appreciate it all! I do have to admit that I had been blaming myself for this, so thanks for telling me not to. I totally agree with you guys, even though I feel SO bad for him, he does look as cute as can be in those blue bandages. He's adorable walking around the house, constantly shaking off his legs, hoping that will get the bandages off. I've got an updated picture of him sleeping on top of our computer table that he jumped up to himself. He's getting around by himself pretty well, and mostly he just takes it easy and sleeps. My vet put him on antiobiotics and he has an appointment for Monday morning to get the bandages off and see how his nails are doing. I'm sure he'll be back to his old self in no time.

Cute Kitty..I am so sorry to read about your cat. We had something similar here with a shopping bag becoming caught around the neck of one of the cats. It ended up with a concussion and it could have been worse. Since then I am very careful to never leave any bags with handles or straps that could cause a problem. Cats are like small children when it comes to getting into trouble. I just keep the house "cat proofed" for the orange tabby guys...--Merry--

Thank you everyone for all the kind thoughts! Skewtur is doing MUCH better. He got the bandages taken off on Monday and, even though it will take a while for his nails to grow back, he's pretty much back to being himself.
